It's a flick called "The Big Wave". It's based on a Pearl S. Buck novel about two guys that were childhood chums who grew up and became enemies over the love for a girl. I found out that the University of Southern California School of Theatre offers a scholarship award named after Poe's dad. It's called the Tad Z. Danielewski Award. (imagine that) =). I'm not quite sure what its for, or what the award is based on (something dramatical or theatrical obviously), but I thought that was pretty neat. I also read that the Department of Drama was founded by a guy named William C. Demille. And I started wondering if that's who Poe referenced to (in an obscured way) in the song "That Day". You know the part...( I'm ready for my close-up now Mr. Demille - I waited for the light - (you had it) but it never shone....). What I pictured was Poe on the stage standing on a empty stoop alone, (stage prop, like a porch or something to that effect) waiting for the stage lights to be turned on by Mr.Demille so she could have her time in the spotlight, or as it might be done in cinematography, a "close-up" shot. It doesnt have much to do with the rest of the song, but oh well it was worth a shot. Nevertheless, there's another Danielewski tid bit of info.... My bro and I met her at Edgefest in Dallas and then saw her again at the Bronco Bowl w/ Seven Mary Three. I was in the front row and managed to get her attention and gave her a "POE" necklace and she loved it (while she was on stage). When her set was over we went out to her bus and she came out and gave us hugs then took us back stage to her dressing room and we hung out. Then she invited us and took us to "the Rehab Lounge" in Deep Ellum and we went upstairs to the "guest room" and drank some beers and talked. She told us to come see her whenever she is in town and she'd get us in. The next time we saw her was in Oklahoma City w/ 7M3 and I took pictures of the entire show. We then drove up to Witchita KS and after the show showed her the pics and she loved them!! Toby wanted some to send to his mother and she offered to buy them from me so she could use them for publicity purposes.....needlessl to say i just gave them to her. We talked and she offered to let us sing with her in Tulsa Ok and we said that we couldn't sing but could do some backup stuff during one of her songs....we decided to scream the "1234" part in Trigger Happy Jack with the megaphone she uses in concert and did so. It was so cool singing on stage with POE!!! From then on we were all just buds, she gave us her phone number to call her and just last week we saw her again in OKC at the XMas concert given by our radio station....she was still sick (as she was in Tulsa the week before that!) so Billy her manager inivited us to Dallas for the last concert stop on her tour for the show and an afterparty with Poe.....unfortuantely we couldn't make it.....so I am a bit upset..... and that is my experience with POE Trent the Original POEZER #1 - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cycle I: The Heirophant Behold, for unto you, is born in the city of FUCK a WORM.
