Well Angry Psychos, I have survived my first Poe concert. It all happened here in the heart of Oklahoma. I went there with a ticket in my hand and left there with memories, half of the ticket and some other tangible treasures. First off, let me just say to those who have not had the chance to see her, do everything in your power to get to one of her shows sometime in this lifetime. For those who have been, there is nothing I can say that hasn't been felt before by each and everyone of you. No words can describe the enveloping feeling I got when she walked on stage. I'll just say...Poe is a song that only angels can sing. As for the show...I managed to accomplish five things, I caught her "Pure American Spring Water" bottle, that she drank from and then threw out to the crowd after spraying it all over us, while singing Choking the Cherry. She saw me doing a wavey type of hand and arm motion (kinda like the break-dance wave) while singing Fly Away, pointed to me and smiled and started doing it on stage. I was incredibly honored!!! (while in shock!) She came off the stage during Dolphin and I got to hold onto her arm for about 10 sec., I was able to get the play list from off the stage, and I talked to her bassist (?-name) briefly. After they ran off stage I tried to catch up to them behind the building, they all climbed into a vintage 60's station wagon (very stelthy looking) and took off, i went chasing after the car like a psycho, on foot, to no avail. I just missed them. I think why they left in such a rush was because of the weather. It was FREEZING outside, too damn cold to just hang around. But oh well, I finally saw her, and she saw me. I can end 1996 with a smile on my face. ( A BIG SMILE!!!!!) PS - the play list went: Grandma got run over... (not on the sheet) That Day Cherry Hello Fly Away Dolphin Junkie (scratched out in black marker) Anything (scratched out) Jane (scratched out) Girl Johnny Trigger How Long Then they played a crazy Mosh jam at the end. Thank you OKC. We love you, bye. Just being really busy with holidays and all. Shit I haven't put up a review of the PHX acoustic Christmas concert. Life is really busy right now. I will forsure be posting some of the answers in audio on POE.ORG...... A lot of work here. She took over an hour and a half AFTER her show and sat in the bathroom of her dressing room to answer these questions for us. I will try to shorten the turn around time and get it to you. I'm just really becoming bogged down in the work that POE.ORG is creating. I love it but stress loses its luster. THANKS ANGRY PSYCHOS! YOU MAKE THIS POSSIBLE. This is the only mailing list that I have ever dealt with and I can tell that there is love here. POE definately knows. She is amazed that she can go to every town and there is somebody screaming to her "POE, I'm an angry-psycho." She sees the power that we produce. The energy. The love for POE. People, Did anybody see Love Line last night? I never thought Poe was that sexual. When she spoke about enjoying giving the oral sex I thought Adam was going to die. And the coolest thing about the whole damn show, was the fact that they played the Trigger Happy Jack Video, in clips and I only saw it once on 120 about a year ago and only hearing that song once was what convinced me to go pick up the record. I saw Poe again this week, and if luck is on my side, I will be going to the New Years Eve show in Hollywood. (I would be there in a second but I think that $30.00 is to steep, I would never pay that much money for one band unless it was Jewel and I was going to get a foot massage before the show) Has anybody notices that she Is so friendly with the crowd when she plays. Always slapped hands and jumpen in the crowd. And when she sings "Beautiful Girl" she always brings up some girls on stage, kind of like a "Viva La Women" type of vibe. Anyway I just want to say that she rocks and wondering if anybody has a copy of Poe singing any other songs that ones on the record, or "How Long" or "Padre Fear", or any of the remix singles because I have all of those. Another thing, why is everybody talking about the "Trigger Happy Jack" single like it is an import or a Promo?
