(i've been to 1 or 2 shows since then, but no merchandise because it was a benifit for something and there were a ton of other bands playing.. but that doesn't have to mean anything, because at the music midtown festival, it was 3 days! and over 150 bands!) anyway... 2 psycho t-shirts one was blank print on a white shirt and the other was silver print on a black shirt. both said on the front "you can talk to a (in small letters) psycho (in big letters accross the front)" and the back said "like a normal human being" (in normal size letters) with the Poe logo at the bottom and, then there was the Poe necklace.. (which i wear everyday proudly!) it's a silver circle with the poe logo on one side and the other side just has the star on it and it comes with a black leather cord.. you can make it what ever size you want...i had a friend of mine put it on another cord with a clasp.. it fits around my neck loosly.... the circle is designed so that only one side will show when you waer it, if you want people to see the other side, you half to turn the necklace around. the story withthe necklace is: poe designed it and put it out for sale not even 3 days before the music midtown show.. she designed it herself... i was the first person she saw wearing it and she thought that was so cool! now you know everything and more about poe mrchandise... and that button.. it's a promotional item from atlantic records. - -rusty ------------------------------ From: husselman@enter.net Date: Wed, 6 Nov 1996 12:13:12 4 Subject: new Poe page Hi, I finally had a chance to work a bit on my Poe page. Someone (Jody, I believe) was asking about the radio version of Angry=20 Johnny. I got to meet Poe after her show in Fort Lauderdale, and while=20 she was signing me and autograph, I asked her about any plans to release=20 the Angry Johnny Band Version (I believe that is the exact name of the=20 remix). She says the Atlantic had no plans to release this version as a=20 single. Poe also mentioned that her band has recorded several similar=20 "band" versions of many of the tracks on her album... she told me the=20 recorded a 7-8 minute live version of "Hello" that is completely=20 different from the original... WOW! Poe is completely laid-back and gracious with her fans. She usually=20 personalizes the autographs (if she has the time and patience, which was=20 the case this night) and signs it POE in all caps with a star in the O,=20 much like the album cover/insignia. After signing my ticket and=20 answering my question about Angry Johnny, she turned it over and gave me=20 the name and phone number of the head exec over at Atlantic Records. She= =20 told me that he was the person to bug if I wanted the Angry Johnny Band=20 Version released, since he was the one that made these decisions! =20 For those of you that are interested, his name is Ron Shapiro and his=20 number is (212) 275 2000. I was thinking of doing some research and seeing if he has an e-mail address. Who knows... if enough of us barrage him=20 with e-mail, he'll get the hint that we want to OWN this track, and=20 perhaps other unreleased stuff that they have available. About the Trigger Happy Jack single... is it really that rare? I bought=20 mine many many months ago and I didn't have any trouble finding it. =20 Perhaps it *is* out of print now, I wouldn't know. Lately, I have been=20 looking in the CD Singles section for *any* Poe singles, hoping to find=20 Angry Johnny there. Most stores don't even have a designation for Poe...= =20 Sad... Is there an "original" one out there, like from The Box channel maybe, that it could be compared to?
