Trigger Happy Jack promo cd singles Poe update..... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Bashir Eustache Date: Thu, 17 Oct 1996 12:27:25 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Fandom insanity When I first became interested in POE, she wasn't exactly huge around here. 99x(Atlanta radio station) played Trigger Happy Jack from time to time, but there weren't many requests and she wasn't all that big. I loved her music. In her newfound popularity, I've received even more insight into the world of Fandom. Poe still rocks. I still love her music, but it's a lot LESS intense when you know that EVERYONE likes her. I'm struggling desperately not to become one of those insane fans who write "You call yourself a POE fan? I've been a POE fan for SO MUCH LONGER THAN YOU!" So here I am, stuck b/w the desire to have POE all to myself and wanting her to be a success. Of course, I'm happy for her and I still love her music(I don't listen to Angry Johnny anymore tho). Any commments? Bashir Eustache http://www.duke.edu/~bee2 Post scriptum: I did an online interview w/ Poe a couple of months ago. It's pretty cool and I'll send it when my computer gets fixed(unless I never get my HD up). I guess we should just ignore everybody else. That way she can still be just ours for us, but everyone else can listen to her because they want to look cool. That's the only solution I've been able to think of. I'm Matt, 19 years old, and attending the University of Toronto. I saw Poe at Edgefest 96 in Buffalo this past summer. I went with a friend and we were both shocked at how awesome the show was (revolving stage and all). Definitely the highlight of the day. Everyone check out Poe live in Concert at Lee's Palace in Toronto in RealAudio: www.cbcstereo.com/RealTime Check out the live concerts - April 27, 1996 (the beginning of hour 3 on the broadcast) Not bad for free and guess what!! She covered Jane Says (Jane's Addiction) and did her new song How Long. Worth checking out. Give me some feedback if you get a chance. I'm in advanced classes, yet I'm not good at school. I write songs and poems, but mainly stories. I've written/thought of over a hundred story lines, and wrote some of about fifty stories. I have about ten done (Most about twenty pages.) . My worst finished (Now not, I'm updating it) story is PLUTO 1, at http://www.execpc.com/~jbeadle/Aliens/pluto1.html . My fav. actress is SANDRA BULLOCK (http://www.execpc.com/~jbeadle/sandra ) and my homepage is at http://www.execpc.com/~jbeadle . My fav. shows are Sliders, X-files, Samauri Pizza Cats (Cartoon), and Any Elmo skit on Sesame Street. My peers are into anything a three year old would like, so I've adapted over the past year.
