I was just about to post about this...Last night during Lovelines, they aired a Lovelines commercial that featured Poe & the band. It didn't say if or when she'd be on, just showed a bunch of clips of different guests they've had. But it means they definitely filmed her appearance (I was worried that she was on the radio show before they started filming it for MTV), and if they thought she was a good enough guest to be on the commercial, then it seems likely they'll air her appearance. Now, all that's left is to keep an eye on Lovelines and make sure we get the Poe ep on tape... (It'd be nice if MTV put the Lovelines guest schedule on their website, but as much as they're advertising it on air, there doesn't seem to be much mention of it on the site) ____________________________________________________________________________ I. Well, as I complained on another mailing list, I think MTV sucks. They show nothing but gansta rap, "Real World" and "Bevis and Butthead"--I hate all three of those shows. If you have a chance to check out MTV-Europe, that's what a real MTV should be like. Oh yeah, I know MTV is trying to change their format, but I can't stay up until the wee hours to watch AMP or the other quality shows. I've also learned to live without a TV. There aren't too many shows worth watching these days--ever since Northern Exposure got cancelled. I'll go to my friend's place and watch Simpsons, Millenium, The Discovery Channel or a Blues game if I really want to. Oh yeah, I also don't have a computer--imagine that: an engineer without a computer, what a freak I am. I've rambled enough... I'm not sure how much I'm going to get done during that time. My plans are to prepare a brand new server, and swap it in once it's tested and works ok. The new server will have twice the disk space (4gb vs. 2gb), and the disk storage will be mirrored, allowing the system to survive a disk failure. Once I start the 'swap', I'll need to ask those of you that have web sites to not do any updates. Mail (both mailing lists and personal mail) should not have any problems. Once I know a schedule, I'll send out another announcement. Jeff ------------------------------ End of angry-psychos-digest V1 #72 **********************************
