You really need to chill. It wasn't quite clear in your original post whether or not you intended to mass produce these shirts. Not only was I looking out for POE, I was looking out for you. Do you happen to have any concept whatsoever of what the copyright infringement penalties are? > I am in NO WAY making money off Poe, I do NOT sell shirts, and you must > not be that good or true of a fan to acuse me of this. If you were to decide to sell such shirts (I am NOT saying that is your intention), you would indeed be taking money from POE. How? Simple: For each licensed shirt sold, POE rakes in a certain percentage. I didn't say you would be "making money off POE." You misinterpreted me on that one. If you want to make a single shirt for yourself, go right ahead. More power to you. And I'm not about to get into this "true fan" debate. How old are you? 15? > I am not happy with being called someone who uses Poe as a marketing scam Feel free to read and reread my original message as much as you'd like. I never accused you of using POE as a marketing scam. Again, chill. > If you know of anywhere to get shirts besides concerts, let us know I've no idea where you live BUT I'm willing to be you have at least one independent record store in town. Here's what you do: Go there. Ask the manager or whoever when they're planning to order from Atlantic again. Request an order for a POE shirt. It's that simple AND it works. > For now, everyone is fine with my suggestion to contribute to my fellow poe fans > and I consider you an outsider among our group, mailing-list, and poe-fans in general. I look forward to the day when you realize that I don't care at all what you consider me. Why should I? You are... ??? Maybe that day is today. That would be a good thing. Yes... By the way, I know Jarrod also warned you about mass producing the shirts. That's all anyone was ever really concerned with. > WE look out for each other and Poe, not spend worthless time insulting each > other. I never intended to insult you yet you flew so far off the handle anyway. Whatever, Landon. I suggest you take a deep breath and count to ten... calm down a bit... I just found out some great news!!! POE will be performing at a Christmas charity concert here in St. Louis. I heard she will be the headliner, but I am not sure yet if that is true. Supposedly the concert is on December 7. Other acts performing at this concert will be: Tracy Bonham, Tonic, and Radio Iodine. In the commercial I heard on the radio (KPNT 105.7) they didn't say exactly when tickets go on sale. They just said it would be "soon". I am counting down the days until the show! Are there any other 'angrty-psychos' in the St. Louis area who might go? Bye. Bye. Big thumbs up on the shirts, relatives here now. It's gonna be about ten bucks + S&H, basically the price of a shirt. So far it looks like white shirts w/ PSYCHO printed across (Poe wears 'em!!!) are wanted. Comments needed!!! - -Landon ------------------------------ From: "J.Beadle" Date: Sat, 09 Nov 1996 21:13:14 -0800 Subject: SHIRT INFO. 1. No, shirts don't have to be white. Poe has them that way, but these aren't poe's, they are are version of poe's, and we are not worthy to wear the clothing of our goddess, but we can wear a similar item. . . :P 2. EVERYONE WHO WANTS ONE, MAIL ME AND SAY YOUR NAME, AND ADDRESS. PRICES ARE BETTER IF YOU BUY MORE. EXAMPLE: IF YOU BUY 1 SHIRT, IT WILL BE ABOUT $13, THE PRICE OF A SHIRT AND S&H, IF YOU BUY 70 (YEAH RIGHT), THEY WILL BE ABOUT 6 DOLLARS APIECE INSTEAD OF 10. 3. My relatives seem to be refusing just the psycho label, so Also tell me what the shirt looks like. Long sleeves or short, color, what it says and where. Popular seems to be "YOU CAN'T TALK TO A PSYCHO" in white on the front, and "LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING" on the back in white on a BLACK shirt. tell where and what text. The prices vary on the type of shirt, i guess. That's the one I'm having done. They'll be anywhere between 10-20 bucks, and NO I am NOT making money. If you want a picture of poe or her logo, say so, but it won't look as good as a picture not on a t-shirt, and it'll be in black and white. I say no problem! Lemme know, BTW: If you got an x-large Black shirt that was short-sleves and said "YOU CAN'T TALK TO A PSYCHO" on the front and "LIKE A NORMAL HUMAN BEING" on the back, it would cost about ten or twelve bucks. if ten, they'd make about fifty cents, if twelve, about two-fifty. They gotta make a little bit as they are a business, and you would be customers. The more writing and pictures, the more money. also, if you add on about four bucks. We are in WI, if you live FAR away, it might be a little more. So then it'd be about 14 or 16. Pretty cheap. I'm getting one for free, because they're my relatives, :) BTW: I could get someone else one for free, if y'all could help me with the sig. of poe's. It's hard, but If someone could get me one, it'd be a prize.
