Rakesh becomes a railway ticket issuer and Vimmi becomes a homemaker who looks after her and Rakesh's son, Pappu. One day, Inspector Jatayu Singh (Pankaj Tripathi) suspects Rakesh and Vimmi of conning, as the name "Bunty Aur Babli" is conning again. However, when Vimmi denies that they have started conning again, Jatayu wonders who could be conning. It turns out, Kunal Singh Verma (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Sonia Rawat (Sharvari Wagh) are using the name "Bunty aur Babli" to con. As people wonder who could be the next victim of conning, Vimmi tells Rakesh that "We are Bunty-Babli, not them." Rakesh and Vimmi declare war on Kunal and Sonia by conning using the name "Bunty Aur Babli" with the support of Jatayu and the Police. This war between the two con-couples, which includes a war in Abu Dhabi, forms the crux of the story. Cast Saif Ali Khan as Rakesh Trivedi / Bunty 1 Rani Mukerji as Vimmi Trivedi / Babli 1 Siddhant Chaturvedi as Kunal Singh Verma / Bunty 2 Sharvari Wagh as Sonia Rawat / Babli 2 Pankaj Tripathi as Police Inspector Jatayu Singh Yashpal Sharma as Mayor Ashwin Kumar Dwivedi Mohit Baghel as Golu Rajat Ajay Bose Asrani as Rajmohan Bakshi Gopal Datt Prem Chopra Lankesh Bhardwaj Neeraj Sood Production The film was announced in December 2019 as a spiritual sequel to the 2005 film in December 2019 by Yash Raj Films. Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari Wagh were chosen as the younger leads of the film. While both Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan were asked by Yash Raj Films to reprise their roles, Bachchan was unable to confirm, leading to the Saif Ali Khan being cast opposite Mukerji. Release The film was announced on 17 December 2019 and filming started on the same day. Although scheduled for theatrical release on 26 June 2020, the release was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[citation needed] The film was wrapped up in September 2020. The release was postponed due to Coronavirus second wave. It is released theatrically on 19 November 2021. Reception Critical Response Upon release, Bunty Aur Babli 2 was panned by the film critics. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently holds a score of 0% based on 6 reviews and an average rating of 4/10. Monika Rawal Kukreja of Hindustan Times described the film as a bbsnooze-festbb and wrote, bbRani Mukerji is the saving grace in this snooze-fest, don't watch even if paid for itbb. She called it a bbterribly written and poorly-executed filmbb and further wrote, bbBunty Aur Babli 2 had all the right ingredients to serve a perfect dish, but too much mixing left it with no great after tastebb. Shalini Langer from The Indian Express gave the film a rating of 2.5/5 and wrote, bbDirector Varun V Sharma doesnbt think Saif Ali Khan-Rani Mukerji are enough to repeat the success of the original, so he keeps falling back on Sharvari and Siddhant, who are not bad but nothing we havenbt seen before. However, his bigger crime is reducing the original Bunty and Babli to colourful, atrocious parodies of their selvesbb. Ronak Kotecha from The Times of India gave the film a rating of 2.5/5 and wrote, bbBunty aur Babli 2 had an exciting premise to revive the two iconic characters, but this sequel feels like quite a con-job in comparison with its originalbb. Saibal Chatterjee from NDTV gave the film a rating of 2/5 and wrote, bbComic timing comes easy to Rani and Saif; They are saddled with wisecracks that are devoid of wisdom. Siddhant and Sharvari, who don a variety of guises, make an enthusiastic screen pair; But the script plays spoilsportbb. Anupama Chopra of Film Companion wrote, bbBunty Aur Babli 2 has a repetitive plot and forgettable dialogues; Few of the jokes land and the ease with which the cons are pulled off becomes, beyond a point, plain sillybb. Bollywood Hungama gave the film a rating of 1.5/5 and wrote, bbBunty aur Babli 2 is a poor show and no way close to the first part.bb They praised the performances of Chaturvedi and Wagh but criticized Khan and Mukerji's performance by stating, bbSaif Ali Khan is not in a great form and its pretty shocking since he's known to ace in all kinds of genres; Rani Mukerji is too loud and over the top and is not in sync with her character in the first half. Siddhant Chaturvedi leaves a mark and proves that he's a hero material and Sharvari Wagh makes a confident debut and looks sizzlingbb. Karishma Shetty of Pinkvilla gave the film a rating of 3/5 and wrote, bbBunty Aur Babli 2 is a cinematic heist that we didn't sign up for but the scene-stealing cast reels you in and are successfully able to scam you out of your hard-earned money for a one-time movie ticket and popcornbb. Devansh Sharma of Firstpost gave the film a rating of 2/5 and wrote, bbBunty Aur Babli 2 is sincere in its attempt to keep the brand alive and continue the narrative organically; But it chooses to ignore all the signs, all the red flags, and decides to cover them up under a flashy exterior. It touches upon the pros and cons of conning in the age of internet and social media, but only superficially. It also comments on the unsuccessful attempts at Ganga rejuvenation by the current government, but never takes a dive into itbb. The two highways run concurrently until reaching Ogden, where the road becomes a four-lane expressway. US 169 exits to the south at a partial cloverleaf interchange, while US 30 continues east through Boone County and descends into the Des Moines River valley. It ascends from the valley and travels another two miles (3.2 km) to a four-way stop in Boone, which is the last stop along the route until Iowa 1 in Mt. Vernon, though this is now a roundabout. Three miles (4.8 km) east of Boone, it meets Iowa 17 at a diamond interchange. One mile (1.6 km) east of that interchange is a shortcut to northbound Iowa 17. Traffic is filtered into Ames and Iowa State University (ISU) from US 30 through five interchanges. On the outskirts of Ames are the Lincoln Way interchanges, access to and from Lincoln Way is handled by two half interchanges three-quarters mile (1.2 km) apart. From the interchanges to the Story County line one and three-quarters miles (2.8 km) away, Lincoln Way is designated as Iowa 930, but is never signed as such. The South Dakota Avenue interchange primarily serves the southwestern part of Ames. The University Boulevard (formerly Elwood Drive) exit provides access to the Iowa State University campus and Iowa State Center, ISU's cultural and athletics complex. The Duff Avenue interchange provides access to Ames's east side. US 69 and Interstate 35 Business Loop are designated along Duff Avenue. From Duff to I-35, US 30 is overlapped by the I-35 Business Loop. Between the Duff and Dayton Avenue interchanges, it crosses the South Skunk River. The Dayton Avenue interchange serves hotels and restaurants and is a travel stop for I-35 travelers. A small concrete bridge crosses a stream. The sides of the bridge were designed to spell out "Lincoln Highway". The Lincoln Highway bridge in Tama East of the Dayton Avenue interchange is I-35, which connects US 30 to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to the north, and Des Moines to the south. Continuing east, the expressway travels six and a half miles (10.5 km) to Nevada, six miles (9.7 km) more to the US 65 interchange at Colo, seven and a half miles (12.1 km) to State Center, and seven and a half miles (12.1 km) the Iowa 330 interchange on the western edge of Marshalltown. One mile (1.6 km) to the east are two half-interchanges with U.S. Route 30 Business (US 30 Business). US 30 bypasses Marshalltown approximately one-quarter mile (400 m) south of its business loop. Near Marshalltown Community College, it intersects Iowa 14 at a diamond interchange. The 18th Avenue interchange on the southeastern side of Marhsalltown is the eastern end of the business loop. From Marshalltown, it travels five miles (8.0 km) to Le Grand, crossing over the Overland Route rail corridor on the west side. It bypasses Le Grand to the north, where it intersects the northern end of Iowa 146 at a diamond interchange. Continuing east, the highway enters Tama County. It rises over a large hill north of Montour and then descends into the Iowa River valley. East of the Iowa River is the Meskwaki Settlement, which is home to about 800 Meskwaki Indians and the Meskwaki Casino and Resort. As it heads into the TamabToledo area, the expressway bisects the two communities. Between the two cities, it meets US 63 at a partial cloverleaf interchange. From US 63 it turns to the southeast to skirt Tama's east side. It rejoins the former alignment of the highway east of Tama and heads due east, along section lines in Tama and Benton Counties, and does not enter another town for 40 miles (64 km). Eastern Iowa US 30 enters Benton County nine miles (14 km) north of Belle Plaine at an intersection with Iowa 21. It continues east along a section line, passing the communities of Keystone, Van Horne, and Blairstown. The origin of the city name Goa is unclear. In ancient literature, Goa was known by many names, such as Gomanchala, Gopakapattana, Gopakapattam, Gopakapuri, Govapuri, Govem, and Gomantak. Other historical names for Goa are Sindapur, Sandabur, and Mahassapatam. History Main article: History of Goa Prehistory Usgalimal rock engravings Rock art engravings found in Goa are the earliest known traces of human life in India. Goa, situated within the Shimoga-Goa Greenstone Belt in the Western Ghats (an area composed of metavolcanics, iron formations and ferruginous quartzite), yields evidence for Acheulean occupation. Rock art engravings (petroglyphs) are present on laterite platforms and granite boulders in Usgalimal near the west flowing Kushavati river and in Kajur. In Kajur, the rock engravings of animals, tectiforms and other designs in granite have been associated with what is considered to be a megalithic stone circle with a round granite stone in the centre. Petroglyphs, cones, stone-axe, and choppers dating to 10,000 years ago have been found in various locations in Goa, including Kazur, Mauxim, and the Mandovi-Zuari basin. Evidence of Palaeolithic life is visible at Dabolim, Adkon, Shigao, Fatorpa, Arli, Maulinguinim, Diwar, Sanguem, Pilerne, and Aquem-Margaon. Difficulty in carbon dating the laterite rock compounds poses a problem for determining the exact time period. Early Goan society underwent radical change when Indo-Aryan and Dravidian migrants amalgamated with the aboriginal locals, forming the base of early Goan culture. Early history In the 3rd century BC, Goa was part of the Maurya Empire, ruled by the Buddhist emperor, Ashoka of Magadha. Buddhist monks laid the foundation of Buddhism in Goa. Between the 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD, Goa was ruled by the Bhojas of Goa. Chutus of Karwar also ruled some parts as feudatories of the Satavahanas of Kolhapur (2nd century BC to the 2nd century AD), Western Kshatrapas (around 150 AD), the Abhiras of Western Maharashtra, Bhojas of the Yadav clans of Gujarat, and the Konkan Mauryas as feudatories of the Kalachuris. The rule later passed to the Chalukyas of Badami, who controlled it between 578 and 753, and later the Rashtrakutas of Malkhed from 753 to 963. From 765 to 1015, the Southern Silharas of Konkan ruled Goa as the feudatories of the Chalukyas and the Rashtrakutas. Over the next few centuries, Goa was successively ruled by the Kadambas as the feudatories of the Chalukyas of Kalyani. They patronised Jainism in Goa. In 1312, Goa came under the governance of the Delhi Sultanate. The kingdom's grip on the region was weak, and by 1370 it was forced to surrender it to Harihara I of the Vijayanagara Empire. The Vijayanagara monarchs held on to the territory until 1469 when it was appropriated by the Bahmani sultans of Gulbarga. After that dynasty crumbled, the area fell into the hands of the Adil Shahis of Bijapur, who established as their auxiliary capital the city known under the Portuguese as Velha Goa (or Old Goa). In 1510, the Portuguese defeated the ruling Bijapur sultan Yusuf Adil Shah with the help of a local ally, Timoji, a privateer. They set up a permanent settlement in Velha Goa. This was the beginning of Portuguese colonial rule in Goa that would last for four and a half centuries, until its liberation by India in 1961. The Goa Inquisition, a formal tribunal, was established in 1560, and was finally abolished in 1812. From the latter decades of the eighteenth century, the territory of Goa was composed of two segments: the central nucleus of the Velhas Conquistas (Old Conquests) - Bardez, Ilhas de Tiswadi, and Salsete, which territories had been under Portuguese administration since the sixteenth century; and the Novas Conquistas (New Conquests) - Bicholim, Canacona, Pernem, Quepem, Sattari, Sanguem - territories which had been successively added through the eighteenth century. In 1843, the Portuguese moved the capital to the Cidade da Nova Goa, today known as Panjim, from Velha Goa.
