Honey, if know nothing else, the one thing I do know is that lotsa people FREAK when you challenge their world-views, and the knee-jerk reaction seems to be to try to turn it around by taking irrelevant potshots at your priorities (and, if really provoked, at your possible need for therapeutic release. ;) ) I'm amused that questioning an apparently incorrect statement and citing conflicting evidence about a 9-year-old CD could pose such a threat to --anybody--, though. (Sweeping generalisation I know, as I buy and sell on eBay and I'm not stoopid (actually, let's wait until my exam results come through)). I'm a big fan of horror movies and there's nothing more amusing that watching people bid on "rare" movies on DVD. Friend of mine bought a copy of a movie which is unavailable in it's full form over here in sunny Britain and put it up for sale on eBay. He paid ~#25 (US$36) to import it from Holland. It ended up selling for nearly #80 (you do the maths) in the end! Laughing all the way to the bank... Course, this has no Fruvous content but I do have a copy of Bargainville which is supremely ultra rare, one of a kind, going for a 3 day auction with a Buy It Now of just #50! ;-) Ross ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Jun 2002 09:04:49 -0400 From: "A.J. Certainly. Are they still "making it"? I doubt it. They probably aren't doing print runs of it any more, but I'm sure there are enough copies left to keep the stores supplied for a while (as long as there isn't a big run on them). Of course I might be wrong. Vinyl was much more expensive to produce. Burning off a few copies of a CD is MUCH easier, so maybe they don't actually end production. If the demand is there they can always make a few more. A.J. - -- Since 9/11 it is apparently unpatriotic to level even humorous criticism at our fearless "leader".
