Um...hi:) Sitting here on a Friday wandering the Internet while my test machines re-image themselves, I decided to drop by a.m.m-f and see how everyone was. I suppose I should tell everyone where I've been since I pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth after FruCon3. A week from Monday, my wife Becky is scheduled for her third C-section to bring upon us our third child, Benjamin Philip Schwan. Yes, we are crazy. Thanks for asking:) Don't worry...I'm having my "V-section" a week from today. OK, now that I've driven off the "too much information" crowd... We have been hard at work remodelling various rooms in our new house, which is why I'm hardly ever online anymore. When I'm not painting and pounding my thumb, I've been leading the worship music at our church. It's been a lot of fun and a real challenge for me since I can't play guitar worth squat. I'm working in the software integration lab at the Owens Corning WHQ in Toledo. Great place to work and I can get away with sending vanity posts to newsgroups:) For anyone interested in seeing how the munchkins are doing, plenty of pics up at http://schwanfamily.tripod.com/family If I know you, feel free to email me and let me know how you're doing when you have the time. If I don't know you...well, email me and introduce yourself or something:) God Bless, Phil Oh, slight twist on another thread, here's my list of favorite albums I bought this year (most are new releases): Long Line of Leavers (Caedmon's Call) Nothing to Lose (Sanctus Real) Who I Am (Jennifer Knapp) No Name Face (Lifehouse) Alien Youth (Skillet) Glo (Delirious) "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" The Arrogant Worms managed to put out a Christmas Album, with all original tunes (i believe, correct me if I'm wrong) And I'm pretty sure that they don't, and didn't at the time it came out, have a huge excess of funds. Not that just cause the worms did it - fruvous should... but... I wonder at it being a cost issue... That's all. Yes. The IMF does not force anyone to do anything. If a country wants to take money from the IMF, it is understandable that there are conditions that they would have to abide by. It should not be expected that countries go giving away money to other countries without any guarantee of stability, progress, etc. It is not the responsibility of the United States or any other country to give charity money to the rest of the world. Regardless (in responding to your argument that the IMF represents inequitable foreign policy by the United States), it should be noted that the IMF is not owned by the United States and, furthermore, the head of the IMF has traditionally been a European. - --Eric - -- lightman at wam dot umd dot edu http://www.his.com/lightman ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 08 Dec 2001 01:31:40 GMT From: "Chris K @*_*@" Subject: Re: Huge On The Luge Renita wrote: > I dunno. I think that I share some beliefs. That makes me comfortable. I share a lot of beliefs with Jian and with some people on this list. I dunno if we are right, but it makes me feel good to know that others are thinking along the same lines. I wasn't waiting for jian to say something, although once I know he has made a comment a new HMP.. I can not wait to read it, to see hwat is views are. Jian's a pretty decent person. Chrissie would I be misinterpretting the use of the word f*ck as anger? I'm pretty positive that Jian has no desire to alienate his fans. I'm pretty sure that he thinks their opinions are up to them. I am pretty sure that he wants fans who can have a intelligent conversation about the different views. Keep in mind, as was pointed out to me, that the piece was written by a Canadian, in a Canadian paper for a largely Canadain audience. (Not just for fruvous or jian fans) Maybe I'm too optimistic but would it be such a bad thing if the canadians ho might have only one view of us Americans read that a fellow Canadian saw a different picture? I like him, I support him, I like to read what he writes... I'm not asking anyone else to. - -lynne Chrissie said: > What I'm wondering about this thread, is it just > something for us to discuss how we feel about > current events?
