Having attended twice, I highly recommend the Ottawa Folk Festival. Even when the Worms and Fruvous *aren't* playing, there are all manner of high-quality performers in international genres. And since you're into camping, Phil, I suggest you look into sites at Lac Philippe on the north end of Gatineau Park, across the Ottawa River from Ottawa. It's about a 30k drive from the campsite to the festival grounds -- but you'd be in a whole different province!(Quebec). There's also camping in downtown Ottawa at LeBreton Flats, but Lac Philippe is just a bit more woodsy. ;) - -- Lori ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2001 00:28:17 GMT From: Kath Subject: Re: Planning a folky holiday in Canada lori martin wrote: > And since you're into camping, Phil, I suggest you look into sites at Lac Philippe > on the north end of Gatineau Park, across the Ottawa River from Ottawa. And that she lived in the area my parents and I almost moved into? It's just so... freaky! Kath No offense, Lori dahling :) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 05 Sep 2001 03:58:02 GMT From: Seanna or Steve or Trevyn or Nicholas Subject: Re: Planning a folky holiday in Canada Theres also the Nepean Campground on Corkstown...
