Well not strictly true Jen, Last year's concert was scheduled basically FOR us. It wouldn't have happened at all were it not for Frucon, but the guys were willing to do the show for us (their idea, not ours). This year I think they are too far into their own stuff for us to expect a show. Obviously if they volunteer again that would be great, but I wouldn't expect that from them. Solo shows by some of them, or by related people like Tory may be doable, however. As far as the lads schedules are concerned I don't think it matters what month we have frucon in. We're going to be pretty much totally independent from them this year. HOWEVER I think there are many good reasons to keep the con in Feb., the most important of which are the cost and availability of rooms. What I've seen on the NG so far is a pretty mixed response to this question. Obviously the committee will consider changing the date, but frankly, I think having it presidents day weekend gives us a good framework within which to work. To some extent due to the people asking questions about it. A fairly short time ago we were all still an "IF there is going to be a con" mode. Clearly there is interest, so now there is going to be a con of some sort, but we haven't really gotten organized yet. The first task is to figure out who is on the committee. You should see an announcement about THAT pretty soon.
