So, did anyone see any good band for Canada Day? I saw Hennessey here in Ottawa, and Sugar Jones was also around but I missed that. (Sugar Jones. You just know this will be Fruvous' new butt-monkey if/when they crawl back out from under their respective rocks.) - -- Marie-Claude http://verticalcrawl.com "Chaos, control, chaos, control. I did :) The Arrogant Worms played Harbourfront here in Toronto in the afternoon, and then that night Kim Mitchell and Tom Cochrane played at Downsview Park. (Jacksoul was the first of the triple bill.. I'm more impressed by his voice than their music.) Drea (who thinks that Fruvous could do a damn good cover of "I Am a Wild Party" or "All We Are") ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 2 Jul 2001 15:00:13 -0700 From: "Jacob Winkler" Subject: test...please ignore thank you ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jul 2001 21:28:17 -0400 From: Lori Martin Subject: Re: bloody mary/caesars Neil Bardhan wrote: > >[1] although not quite as brilliant a choice as a latte with > >sugar and chocolate shavings, > >because that adds the additional, vital sub-food-group of > >caffeine. > > Only chocolate shavings? I'd like to point out that Camp Fruvous will be Upstairs *and* Downstairs this year. The Budgiedome will be pitched on the ridge, and Steve will be arriving early to tape off tentspace around it as well as working with Jill to do a landgrab downstairs. If you want Upstairs space for a tent (or if you don't have a tent, and need sleeping space) email me, or Steve at steve_martin@ncf.ca. If you want Downstairs accommodations, email Jill. :) - -- Lori ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 03 Jul 2001 02:43:28 GMT From: Ellen Gersh Subject: a shout out for last years frff hey there y'all... I realised (belatedly... like last months) that I think I lost my crazy creek chair last year at frff... it's navy, V-shaped chair thingie and had a poem written in gold on the back that started "Let all people..." if anyone has seen it, give a shout out... thanks :) - -- "Some seem to think I'm neurotic and all - but I'm not - I just like to think about things, Over - and over - and over - and over again!" ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 02 Jul 2001 23:27:44 -0400 From: Marie-Claude Danis Subject: Re: a shout out for last years frff Lori Martin wrote: > I don't have Ellen's CC chair ... but I do have Leahy's. :) Yeah? I got Leahy's green corduroy coat. Wait, I think it's still in the closet at the Haus. Hm. Leahy! Let me say that Leahy's Chair, while she's been cavorting through Europe for the past year, has done Herculean duty -- about 6 different outdoor music events (hey, chad even used it a couple of times) and a few camping trips. And it's still in fabulous shape. But I'd like to get it back to its proper owner one of these days. In the meantime: Yeah! Anyone who can locate these things (and heck, they sell a version at Target) -- by all means bring them to FRFF! They're supremely portable, supremely comfortable, and double as generously-proportioned tote bags! - -- Lori on a posting spree, apparently. ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V5 #185 ********************************************
