I've added "Jian" (case sensitive, must be a separate word) and "matheson" (case insensitive) to the list of recognized keywords. Y'all seem to be saying Jian a lot recently! I wonder if there's a lot of Jian-saying spam out there :) FYI, I'm working in plain ASCII here, so people who get fancy and use PC-specific encodings for the umlaut in "fruvous": a) the filter won't recognize it b) people reading news on non-PCs may see gibberish (For example, I usually see it as "Fr|vous") I think I'll put the filter in practice at the end of the month. Until then, we're still just in address collecting mode. - -- -- Cos (Ofer Inbar) -- cos@polyamory.org http://cos.polyamory.org/ -- WBRS (100.1 FM) -- info@wbrs.org http://www.wbrs.org/ "We're a bunch of geeks, and so is our audience. Is there a setlist out there, and by any chance, were > there tapers in the audience? It was a great night.. Dave did "Come On Up to the House", and Jian did "Temptation". The Moxy Fruvous (gateway, take me away!) boys did quite well. Other songs that night included: In the Neighbourhood, Time (the traditional closing song of the night), The Briar and the Rose, Hold On, Jockey, Heart Attack and Vine, Train Song, Down By the Train, and Call Me Baby. There were a lot more, but alas I've forgotten - which is sad considering I was standing next to where the playing order/setlist was posted for the performers to check! *g* Drea Dave was also part of Tory's band, which played with Tory, and various members with other people who sang that night. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Jun 2001 15:37:17 GMT From: Katherine Maheux Subject: Re: Tory's Tom Waits Show with Dave Brent Miller wrote: > > Did anyone get a chance to see Tory Cassis' Tom Waits tribute with > Dave and Jian? I actually spent most of the first set waiting outside with Fiona because the thing was sold out before doors were even set to open, so I didn't get to see Jian, but I heard him a little and he sounded good. I walked in just as Dave-o was switching from his house-band electric guitar position to take the lead for one song. If you have a chance to come up next year, do. It's always a really amazing time, and just Ben Carlson, who plays the double bass in the house band, is worth the admission price. Other standouts were Danny Michel, Jen Ryan, Martina Sorbara, Luke Doucet, Kathryn Rose, Brilliant Fish, Kurt Swinghammer, Sarah Slean, and of course Tyler Yarema and Mark Mariash, who rounded out the house band. And y'all missed it. Hahahaha! Just kidding. I almost did, too. Kath ------------------------------ Date: 14 Jun 2001 12:28:23 EDT From: Amanda.K.Potter@Dartmouth.EDU (Amanda K.
