Copied from FDC: 10/18/99 - Tractor Tavern; Seattle, WA 06/01/99 - Tractor Tavern; Seattle, WA 09/26/98 - Central Saloon; Seattle, WA They've played Collingswood, NJ exactly once :). - -- Kate ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 May 2001 21:08:12 -0400 From: Lori Martin Subject: David Matheson wins honors on WXPN for "Cedartown" Dave's song, the last one played on tonight's edition of "First Impression" (a new-music critique show) won hands-down with 4.5 out of 5 possible points. Each week selections from new CDs are judged by two music-industry folks. I don't listen to the show all the time, but it seems to me that winning scores aren't usually that high -- more in the 3.5-4.0 range. Critical comments included that the song was literary; that it pulls in the listener and leaves him on the edge of his seat wondering what's going to happen next; and (predictably) that the vocals were "perfect". I imagine we Philly folk will be hearing quite a bit of Dave-o now. Whee! :) - -- Lori ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V5 #154 ********************************************
