Somehow I don't think the Worms themselves would be so nitpicky about it. And for that matter, they enjoy parodies of their work (which to this newsgroup are known as "filks", not "messing with it"). I didn't post our silliness to offend anybody, but because I know other Fruvous fans also like the Worms and might be a little amused, and also because many can relate very well to the unanticipated perils of roadtripping. I agree with all that, except the word conversation. A lot of times it's a monologue *grin* > I also choose to believe that the > people in the audience that are "bored" while Jian is talking are in the > minority. But many times, the people on the stage that are "bored" while Jian is talking are in the majority. Hee hee. In all this, I'm not saying that people have no right to say whatever they want at a show. If I have a big enough problem with something, I just won't go to shows. Obviously, I go to many shows so I enjoy them a lot. What I am saying is that in my opinion, Jian's rant was clouded a bit and very free form, enough in my opinion to distract from his point. He started off on a foreign relations rant and it turned into a media rant guised as a foreign relations rant. He succeeded mostly in getting people to talk about it, but personally I'd much prefer people talk about the issue in it's own right instead of Jian's part in it which is totally negligible to me. But when people do bring in Jian into the issue, I have opinions on that as well *grin*. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2001 11:20:28 -0500 From: Chad Maloney Subject: Re: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Fr=FCvous?= posters? Any one have any ideas? The only posters I know of are the album posters. Bargainville posters were sold at the rarities merch table at Frucon III. Unfortunatley I was running the sound equiptment and didn't go buy one in time, which saddens me. They are tall thin posters. Wood posters were raffle prizes at Frucon I and II. This poster is huge and really cool and is something I'm very proud of owning. The picture is http://www.fruvous.com/albmpics/poster.gif but with a full picture and not clipped. I believe these posters were actually merch and not just promo things, but I'm not sure. I don't know if there were "b" promo posters or not. I don't have one. You Will Go To The Moon posters are of the album cover and were promo only. http://www.fruvous.com/ywgmpics/ywgm-bc.jpg Live Noise posters were promo only and were the album cover. These were given away to people at the second MIT show where Live Noise was supposed to be available but wasn't. The pic is http://www.fruvous.com/albmpics/ln-cover.jpg is copyrighted to Lisa Pollack who took pics at the new years eve show in Niagara Falls. Thornhill posters were also the album cover and promo only. The Canadian version is a lot bigger than the US version. I have no idea why there are two versions, but all US shows I saw on the Thornhill tour had small posters and all Canadian shows had big ones. The pic is http://www.fruvous.com/albmpics/th-bc.jpg. "C" posters are also promo only and are of the album cover and were sold as merch as well. The pic is http://www.fruvous.com/albmpics/c-bigc.jpg I also have a nice concert bill poster from the Michigan Theatre show in Ann Arbor awhile back. I've seen it on ebay before also. And that's what I know about Fruvous posters. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2001 18:16:58 GMT From: Katherine Maheux Subject: Re: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Fr=FCvous?= posters? You are *wrong* in a tone only "wild" Bill's sister would use. I have a Live Noise poster and it is not the album cover at all. It is a bright yellow poster with the four pictures of the guys from the back of the record on it, plus the words "Live Noise" in that ugly Walkie Talkie font. Cause it was so necessary that I share my innermost thoughts about a poster they stopped giving away over two years ago... I thought the poster had Moxy Fruvous across the top, the Live Noise Album cover prominently in the middle, and then the 4 inlay pictures of the guys small across the bottom. That's from memory though. But I think that's what it is. I don't remember it saying Live Noise really big at all Kinda like this: - ----------------------- | | | Moxy Fruvous | | ------------------ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ------------------ | | | | --- --- --- --- | | | | | | | | | | | | --- --- --- --- | | | - ----------------------- The big section is http://www.fruvous.com/albmpics/ln-cover.jpg but without the Moxy Fruvous and the 4 smaller are individual pics of each of the band members. All I remember about them is Jian had a turtle neck on. But anyways, I figured the existance of the poster was more important than exactly what was on it. I know pic I linked to is on it and big because I remember sitting down and having people point themselves out in the crowd from the pic using the poster. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Feb 2001 20:31:03 GMT From: "Chris K @*_*@" Subject: Re: =?iso-8859-1?Q?Fr=FCvous?= posters?
