Canada is proud of Hockey, but there are many many countries that contribute boundlessly to the sport. What place did Canada get in the last Olympics? In Philly and other "non-border" US towns they seem to play both the Canadian and American anthems when a team from a Canadian city is present, and only the American anthem at other times. The anthems represent the cities the teams call home, not the home countries of the players on those teams. The Canadian anthem would have been a nice touch for the All-Star Game. It would have been a nice gesture for the Canadian players on the ice, and the Canadian fans watching.
