Tory and Fruvous in one show would be well worth the hideous $10 (Canadian) Ticketbastard surcharge. BTW...I was flipping through channels tonight and saw Fruvous on the best of Planet of Sound. It looked like 1997 or so as they did Message (a cappella) and YWGTTM as well as some banter. Did anyone else catch this? Oy, when will this start? Hmm...Russell Wolff. Tory Cassis. Susan Werner. Mike Errico. Martin Sexton. Kurt Swinghammer. Sarah Harmer. Danny Michel. The Supers. The Nields. Eddie From Ohio. Vance Gilbert. all of these new CD's or tracks from napster that I now listen to... I wouldn't have known about any of them if they hadn't opened for Fruvous or somehow been involved with gigging for or around Fruvous. There are some openers that I would have preferred to have kept backstage for the entire show; but we have also been blessed with tremendous talent and entertainment thanks to Fruvous. Don't forget that Fruvous themselves spent a good portion of their early career as an opening band. If people had the same attitude towards them as you have towards opening acts; we all most certainly wouldn't be posting here or gearing up for the 4th annual fan-based convention. I for one would be pleased either way, and while it would be wonderful to have a beloved familiar performer on stage; I rather hope it will be another new act that I might end up adding to my diverse musical collection.
