Not to start the "best/worst opening acts" thread again, but I'd have to say that Fruvous opening acts have been my best source of new music for the past three or four years. I already know what I'm going to get when I see Fruvous perform -- sure, I'm going to like it, and occasionally it'll be something completely new and different; but whomever schedules the openers generally seems to be doing a pretty good job of tapping into what I'd like if I knew about it. That's not to say there haven't been some really bad openers, or that I wouldn't normally take the guys each doing a solo song before a show -- but given the choice between "two hours of Fruvous" and "ninety minutes of Fruvous and thirty minutes of something amazing that I've never heard before", I'll usually pick the latter. Guess that's just me, though. -Joe ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Jan 2001 20:47:10 -0500 From: "Chad Maloney" Subject: Re: Opening Act "Sally" wrote in message news:92r1s7$lju$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Aaron wrote: > > I know it is a little early, but does anyone know the opening act for > > the Opera House concert? I know there are multiple ways to read that. Read it however you like. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 1 Jan 2001 20:38:03 -0600 From: Castan Subject: Re: Opening Act Mae West from "Klondike Annie" puts it like this: "Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."
