And I wasn't going to post again today, but your fabulous taste in music forced me to chime in :) >- starling, "sustainer" > if they were nerd-boys, it would be perfect nerd-boy-rock. but > they're not, and it rocks anyway. the perfect amount of pop to make > you want to dance, but enough rock that you don't feel guilty. I'll let everyone on the NG know now...nobody can mention Starling without me jumping in and gushing on and on. Oh Starling. What a bunch. I'm damn proud of my homegrown talent :) I've watched those boys (well, mostly Ian Lefeuvre and Peter von Althen) go from shows at crappy community centre auditoriums with an audience of ten (heh, that was three years ago and the poor boys had the unfortunate curse of having ME open for them) to playing with the Hip on New Years. The latest news is they parted ways with their indie/major label distribution Time Bomb records...going back to doing their own thing-yay! But *sigh* That Ian boy sure is dreamy...and don't get me started on Danny Michel ;) >- ani difranco, "to the teeth" > i didn't care much for this album the first time i heard it, but my > roommate has been playing it a lot lately, and it's been growing on > me quite a bit. Ani's Ani and is always good :) Gotta love the title track. >- tamara williamson > i've only heard a few songs of hers but I ordered her album off HMV > just based on that. I have yet to recieve it. I first heard her album playing in a club in Wakefield...have yet to buy it, but what I heard was really good. Ok, that's it, I promise.
