As a dedicated Fordy fan, I've been longing for him to have his own site (& I know nothing about creating them myself). You've done a great job! Thanks, & I'll be there often! BTW- I'm currently studying the Official Theory Test for Car Drivers & Motorcyclists manual, a slender volume of over 400 pages, (I have my test next week as I can only drive on my American licence over here (UK) for a year) And, I keep coming across questions that involve a red triangle (usually a warning, right?) with the word 'FORD' inside!! The last question asked: "Which of the following may apply when dealing with this hazard?" I reckon the applicable answers here from the choice given are: - -it could be more difficult in winter - -use a high gear to prevent wheelspin - -there may be a depth guage, and - -test your brakes afterwards I reckon more appropriate answers would be: - -approach with caution, - -keep at a safe distance in case of wild jumping/spitting If in doubt, proffer any of the following: - -beer, microphone, harmonica, guitar. If none of the above work, smile and give him a big hug! What do you think? Any other suggestions? I could send them in to the Driving Standards Agency. Strange though, I've never really thought of Mike as a hazard!!:) Frances ------------------------------ Date: 02 Sep 2000 14:10:46 GMT From: bbwminors@aol.com (BBWMinors) Subject: Re: www.gordsgold.com The funny thing about Tim's comment about Mike being the one who scoots out of range after a show ... is he is the one I've spoken to the most after shows!!! QL (I have a hard time picking a "favorite" because they are all so unique and wonderful but when the band is onstage, I find Mike is the one I always watch because you just never know what he'll do next). ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 02 Sep 2000 17:43:47 GMT From: Trevor Gibbs Subject: Re: www.gordsgold.com Good job on the website! Now I have links to all of their sites, plus links to Linda Tillery and The Cultural Heritage Choir, Lennie Gallant, and a bunch of other folksters! Fruvous were on briefly (about 2 minutes maybe?). They interviewed Dave and Jian about being in the "Hearing Voices" workshop. Dave & Jian talked about how when they first formed, they were instrumentalists, but through their busking, they quickly became known as vocalists. They then showed clips of the Hearing Voices workshops with Fruvous singing Early Morning Rain. I didn't see Fruvous anywhere else in the documentary, but also shown were Dar Williams, Blue Rodeo, Shawn Colvin, and Bruce Cockburn amoung many others. Also lots of crowd scenes - so maybe there were some fruheads amoung them there! It was on tonight (Saturday) at 9 pm - but knowing MMM it will be rebroadcast a few times, so for those who get MMM, check your listings for it.
