I'm sure by the way it's written they probably lifted it from a press release or something, but a Fru sighting it is. Anyone going to this show? I'll be there for sure, and a couple friends of mine are going as well I think. It'll be my first Fruvous show in years, and I'm quite looking forward to it. I'm definitely a fan of the band, though probably not what you'd call a Fruhead by any stretch. dan ------------------------------ Date: 07 Aug 2000 05:33:59 GMT From: spychicr@aol.compoot (RAI-- Random Access Insanity) Subject: Evil Jian Dreams This has been keeping me purturbed over the last few weeks... I don't know why, but it's true.... I have Evil Jian Dreams. Now, I'm not saying that I think that Jian's evil. And I'm not saying that all my dreams are evil. It's just that in these few particular dreams, my portrayal of Jian has been very... disturbing. To say the least. I've met Jian twice, and I'm sure he doesn't remember me, and I know not of his psyche beyond what I hear from other people and what he says onstage. What I DO know is, however, I am having evil Jian dreams. The first one was a few weeks ago where Jian had quit the band to become a teen idol, (to quote someone on the wall, "I can see him doing that.") and my dad replaced him. The quitting thing's downright evil in the first place, but my dad replacing him? Jeez.... Second, was last night, before I woke up for the CBS thing. I dreamt that Jian was in my room and trashed it (after I JUST repainted too!) and then ate my desert on TOP of his and LIED that he ate it. So I beat him up. Even kicked him in a place where the sun don't shine. And he just TOOK it. Smirkin' and laughing like it was some joke... until I kicked him. (Remember, this is all a dream.) Finally, I just walked away from him and he started stalking me, apologizing and stuff saying how he was really sorry.... and I just ignored him. ...Before I adored him, now I just ignore him. Ooh. Sounds like a good song lyric. Anyway, interpretations are welcomed. Recommended, if possible. ;o) --Rai -- "Bad songs, evil Jian dreams... what's next?" A few weeks ago I went to have my hair cut, nothing unusual in that, but I had it cut a little shorter than usual, it being summer and everything. Two days later I recieved a letter in a handwriting I'd not seen before. It said: `Aww, man. Your hair. I loved that hair. Now its gone. Here's my point; I loved your hair now its gone, I don't know if I can love you anymore. Yours in disappointment X.' I was a little surprised to say the least, but I thought nothing more of it. Then three days later I recieved another letter in the same handwriting saying much the same thing. I checked the envelope to find it had a Toronto postmark. They have arrived regularly ever since. I only mentioned this because the one that arrived this morning was hand delivered. Should I be worried? Like a cycle. Or if the letters start giving you advice of other non-hair related topics. On a brighter note, if you hair grows back and the letters keep coming and still say the same thing, then you know that the whoever-it-is got the wrong address. Or, it could all be an elaborate prank. Have you tried leaving a note for the person? If it was hand delivered to you, then that person either: A) Lives or resides near you for the time being. B) Has an acomplice near you that s/he recieves the letters, takes off the original envelope, and puts the letter, assumingly hand delievered, into your mailbox/wherever. Apparantly they are starting a Canadian version of Millionaire that will have tougher questions since Canadians are smarter than Americans. TORONTO (Billboard) - A Canadian version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," will reportedly have harder questions than the U.S. show seen here on its debut in September on Canadian TV. A homegrown copy, with the same lifelines and phone-a-friend options of the Regis Philbin-hosted U.S. show, is being put on by CTV Corp., Canada's largest private broadcaster. "The questions will be tougher, reflecting the level of Canadian intelligence. Our standards will be higher," said Pamela Wallin, host of the two one-hour "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" specials to air Sept. 13 and 14 on CTV. "We have a good education system. We're well-rounded," Wallin said at a press briefing here Wednesday in front of a million-dollar cash pile guarded by grim-looking armed guards. Any eventual winners of the Canadianized "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" will also pocket more money than their U.S. colleagues as the Canadian government does not tax lottery or gameshow winnings. jordan - -- Jordan I.
