I bought tix for Camden, NJ for my girlfriends brother but he canceled out on it so I guess I am going to go. FL. >> Phish put on a fantastic show. If you like jamming music like the Grateful Dead, you'll dig seeing Phish. Though I can't stress enough that musically, they are not the Dead. Phish definitely have a sound all their own. Like Fruvous, they are a band you definitely want to see live since the shows are way better than the albums. Don't be surprised if a song goes into a wild long jam since that's part of Phish trademark. Don't worry if you don't know the songs, just listen and groove to the music and you'll have a great time. Be prepared for the cool scene outside the venue as well. Phish Fans have developed a culture unto itself (similar to that of the Deadheads ). Fans tend to get to shows early to hang in the parking lot, drink beer and sell cool tye dye shirts, jewelry and hippie sorts of food stuff like veggie burritos. People may ask you for a miracle which means they're looking for a ticket to that night show. You also find drum circles and other neat stuff happening out there and it's definitely worth checking it out. Have fun! I saw him open for Fruvous at the Towne Crier, and he's definitely worth seeing again. There's lots of good music in New York City this weekend for those of us not leaving town! I'm trying to decide between Shawn Colvin in Battery Park or Great Big Sea in Central Park for Saturday afternoon. - --Carolyn _______________________________________________________ This information may contain confidential and/or privileged material and is only transmitted for the intended recipient.
