You could compromise and make it such a great party that it goes Saturday night INTO Sunday afternoon??? Can I ask where you live? I know that sounds dumb ... but I figure most people who love you won't care if they are "blowing" their Monday holiday to come to your wedding. But if there are people you think may be on the bubble, do you live somewhere where it's fun or you can come up with something for them to do if they want to on Monday to make it seem like a vacation (I can't imagine people would need this but just in case?). (Of course, the novelty of holding our wedding at the Santa Barbara Zoo didn't hurt.) We had friends and family come from as far away as Connecticut and Ohio, and no one comlained about us ruining their holiday weekend. We didn't have it in our budget to hire Moxy Fruvous (or any other band) for the gig, but we had a great DJ who played "Kick in the Ass" during the dancing. I agree, there aren't many Moxy songs that are perfect for that first dance, so we chose "A Change in My Life" by Rockapella instead.
