Last year I went on Friday night and the lawn filled up pretty quickly. Because it is a free event, the lovely citizens of Herndon and surrounding suburbia often bring their families. I'd advise leaving plenty of time to get a spot if you're picky. As for actual timing, we can hope that Fruvous will be relatively on time since there are fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:30. > 3) If there is anyone here who lives in Herndon or who has been to Herndon > Festival before: where should I park? There is official festival parking, from which the Fairfax Connector runs regular shuttles to the festival site. There is also some parking closer by but that tends to fill up early.
