Just don't you DARE be shy at your first concert. Go right up to people and introduce yourself. Frushows are among the best places to make new friends! I'm so glad that you have come out of your lurking status! I told you nobody bites on this newsgroup! I hope everyone welcomes you with open arms. :-) I can't wait until we go see Moxy Fruvous in New Jersey! Does anyone have stories to tell of their first Moxy Fruvous concert or any of their cocnerts? Just wondering, just so we'll know what to expect. :-) Talk with you later tater! If Guster is playing near you, run, don't walk, to go see them! I found out about them from the ng, and they are great. A lot of früheads enjoy their music, and a lot of Guster's fans have been converted to Früvous. Try their website, www.guster.com for more info. Enjoy... Their new CD, Lost and Gone Forever, is like the one of the only CD's my boy-band liking roommate and I agree on, besides Live Noise, Kat's CD, and Dido. Anyway, if you get the chance to see them, DO!!! I am very very lucky to be going to the concert in Cincy next weekend. Heh. Pessimism :) ? The song's about masturbation . . . well, I guess it correlates :). Anyway, yeah, everyone get Lost and Gone Forever. I would also highly recommend that you see them live, but not without warning . . . The majority of Guster's fan base, especially in the northeastern U.S., is young. And drunk. And loud. And concert-etiquette-impaired. Please don't say I led you blindly when you come back having had a bad encounter with a little blonde drunk college freshman screaming "ADDDDAAAAAAAAMMMMM!!!!" at the top of her lungs. Not that there's anything wrong with being drunk and in college :). - --Kate - -- Kate Leahy kleahy@loyola.edu katiewow@fruhead.com "And in all the idiots I see Thoughtless men casting doubts on me . . . After all, I think its safe to say that if we all bought CDs by *every* band that was praised here, we'd all be in the poor house. But yeah-- go. It's a good time. And besides the fact that they're just really talented and whole bundle of fun, they're going to be hugely popular someday really soon. (I've consulted the Magic 8 Ball this, so its scientifically proven fact). If you're looking for some 'net stuff, go to www.guster.com, and click on links. One of the links there is called "the mezzanine" (which I probably spelled wrong), which has a whole lot of live MP3s. (At least, that's the word on the street. I wouldn't know from personal experience ::kicks computer from 1991:: ) They're also going to be on Craig Kilborne on Monday April 3rd, so you can check 'em out then ;-) have fun! ~jen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Nobody likes you when you're 23"-- Blink 182 "Do you know that you are very strong?"-- Grover "Measure your life in love."--Rent ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V4 #149 ********************************************
