Many of you may know me as a trader and also a taper. Anyways, now that you remember who I am (if you do.....), here's the point of this post. I'm not sure how many of you have heard of the band Domestic Problems, let alone heard their music. For those of you who have not, the band is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and tour fairly heavily throughout the Midwest and recently completed a short East Coast tour. Their music is similar to DMB, with an acoustic-based, organic blend consisting of acoustic/electric guitar and lead vocals, trumpet/flugglehorn/mandolin, keys and backup vocals, sax/pennywhistle/horns, bass, and drums. They're a band that I definitely think y'all should check out, so that's where this tree comes in. Even though I told myself I'd never admin another tree again, I decided to do this one, and if it goes well will do a couple more Domestic Problems trees. This tree will consist of 2 shows, but will fit onto 2 CDs total. As many people as I can possibly fit on the tree will make it. As probably goes without saying at this point, the tree will be CD only. Both shows sound absolutely incredible. The first show on the tree will be from 12.28.1999 at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. This show is one full disc and 15 minutes of another. The source info for the show is: Soundboard+Aud. Matrix w/AT822-->Tascam DAT-->Sharp 702 MD. This was the show that Pat McGee Band opened for Domestic Problems. The second show on the tree will be from 01.26.2000 at Maxi's in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This show is a short acoustic set (about 45 minutes long) consisting of only Andy, Job, and Billy. This show was one short set at a promotion party for a local radio station's CD release of local music. The source for this show is: Soundboard-->Sharp 702 MD-->CD. This show will be on the second CD following the first show. So, what do you need to do to get on the tree? Fill out the following form (fill it all out, or you will not be included on the tree, guranteed): - -------------------------goodinj@river.it.gvsu.edu-------------------------- Name: Mailing Address: Have you ever heard/heard of Domestic Problems? Branch/Leaf?: If branch, list your burning setup: Do you have DAO capabilities?: If branch, please list a couple of trading references (emails here, and well-known sources are preferred): Have you been on a tree before?: If yes to the last question, what tree(s) and what was your position (i.e. branch/leaf and if branch what level)?: - --------------------goodinj@river.it.gvsu.edu---------------------------- Fill out the above form completely, because failure to do so will result in you not getting a spot on the tree. After you're done, email it back to me at goodinj@river.it.gvsu.edu with the subject line "DP Tree" (failure to include the right subject line may result in me not reading your email). Signups will go for a while (I'm thinking 3 weeks) so many people get the chance to jump on board and because I'll be busy for a couple weeks, so if I don't immediately get back to you, don't worry about it. I hate to sound so strict, because I'm really, really easy to deal with, but I just don't want any hangups occuring on this tree and laying down my expectations and taking extra precautions on things will help prevent those hangups. As should go without saying, there is to be absolutely no profiteering of any kind from these shows. They are for trading purposes only. Anyone caught doing otherwise will be strung by their toenails and dipped into a vat of rancid, hot, bubbling acid while I watch with a smile on my face. I'm only on this mailing list, so if anyone wants to forward this onto any other taping/trading/tree lists, that would be much appreciated. DP is a great band, and I'd like to see more of you get the privilege to experience their music. When did they sing? according to the BNL list, they sang at approx. 2:25, just ed, steve, tyler & kevin (jim being on tour w/ bros. creeggan). apparantly tyler was singing too loudly, ed & steve couldn't be heard, & kevin was shaking (nerves?)... so i guess it wasn't really a banner performance for them. still wish they would've gotten televised in the US, though. oh, well. ^kat^ "and i know that you'll wait for me" http://fly.to/the.midway.after.dark ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 07 Feb 2000 08:58:52 -0500 From: Michael Castleman Subject: Re: OT, headed towards T I'm sure..... > > >> >Is that a pot or is it a tureen? > >> > >>Was that a non-sequitor? > > > >What is a non-sequitor? > > eek... can someone point me to the beginning of this thread? They are license branchs. Hmmm) and got my not expired marion county Indiana plates. Now I just gotta put them on the car... So you ain't seeing me on cops anytime soon. I also have a stupid license plate cover over the outside rim that covers all but the month JUN and the top of the 97. That prolly helps. But I've lived next door to a police officer for a long time. I've driven back home to St. Louis many many times and I've driven across the damn country to see Moxy Fruvous many many many times. No tickets, no warning, no nothing.
