OK, Re: Boarding and Skiing in the Toronto area... There are a number of hills within the city limites of Toronto. Maybe calling them hills would be generous they are landfill sites covered in artificial snow. But hey when you are despirate they will do. The easiest one to get to from downtown would be Centennial Park in Etobicoke there is a bus that goes there from Kipling subway station. Next in the list would be Glen somethingorother which is in Milton. It is probably double the size of the landfill sites and 35 minutes away. After that there is Horseshoe Valley in Barrie (1.25 hours north by car), Mt St. Louie Moonstone (1.5 hrs by car) and Collingwood 1.75 hrs by car). I don't know where you are coming from but my recommendation if you are coming from NE US is to leave a few days early or go home a few days late and stop in Vermont (Killington to mention one place) or Quebec (Mt St. Anne to mention another) and get some real skiing in. Anyway, those of you who were at the Fruvous show back in November at the Somerville Theatre got to see the wonder that is Sarah Slean live. Well folks, she's back in the Boston-area tonight. She'll be at the MIT Coffeehouse. Tory Cassis is at 9pm and Sarah plays at 10pm. And best of all, the show is free! Sarah's manager has assured us that the show is open to the public and there won't be a cover. Of course with it as cold as it is here in Boston, I'm sure many of us will be tempted by the coffee!
