For some reason, it had seemed that in the past few days all these little bitty things were happening or being said that somehow related to Fruvous songs, but I chalked it up to the fact that a) I'm obsessed and b) they deal with so much of everything in the world that it was inevitable. But last night was really funny ... My sister and her boyfriend (I think this one's a keeper, please God) are in town (DC area) for the weekend and since my husband plays jazz at the restaurant America on Friday evenings, they decided to go museum hopping and then meet us there. She's usually pretty prompt but they were a little late ... and for those of you who don't know (as in probably 99.8 percent of you), America is located at the DC train station. So they finally come in and she says "I know you won't believe this, but we were lost in Union Station." Do I have to tell you what song I can't get out of my head now???? A lot of artists have done Early Morning Rain; Bob Dylan did it with a slow, almost calypso beat; the Dead did it, I didn't know about Elvis. However, it is possible for a band to own a song they didn't write, and I think that's the case with Fruvous and Early Morning Rain. It's always such a treat to hear it, as I think it's one of the best things they do live. If there's ever a Gordon Lightfoot tribute album, I hope they record it. I know some think it ought to be on the eventual C album, but I don't know if that would be the right setting. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet's Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet - Free! ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 09 Jan 2000 02:54:51 GMT From: "Saphira Cat" Subject: Re: Illness & Ricky Martin woes Miyax posted: >Shelly S wrote: >> >> Hey, you could do a LOT worse than Harrison Ford!
