I've been under the impression that Murray sings/speaks "...Pork Tenderloin," but lately I'm getting a little confused. After all, it's hard to believe Jian would let Murray speak for such a long time!!! Anyway, is it really a Murray song? Also, Fruspace is ...? a) the place where you plant yerself and co. before a standing/outdoor show, using a blanket for example b) crash space ??? One of the | beautiful things about language is that the language uniquely reflects the | people to whom it belongs. The shades of meaning in words and the double | meanings are impossible to completely capture in an interpretation. Even the | structure of langue makes a barrier in translation. It is therefore every | translaters duty to try and keep what they percieve as the authors intent as | well as style, yet they are forced to do this using competely different tools | than that of the author. It is like looking at the original Mona Lisa and | attempting to replicate it using colored pencils. Things will be changed, even | if the translator did not intend to do so. That's one of the many reasons that | learning foreign languages is so valuable: it opens up a whole new world of | unadulterated literature. That isn't to say that you shouldnt read the | translations if it is the only viable option. It's just that much *more* | reading the original. (/end babble) Genna I have to say "you're right." I try very hard to read any book I can get in the original language, if I understand the language. But it is the same with movies. I mainly get to see the translated versions of any kind of movies:( It is horrible!!!!! Especially if you know the original words you can hardly listen. I cannot stand it if they translators who try to be really cool. It never works. I do recognize many people that I've seen at multiple shows, but how can you tell who is who, or get into this little (or big?) circle of Rochester fruheads who seem to all know each other [1]? Anyway, the show rocked and the lads definitely put 150% of their effort into the performance. I was so thrilled to hear "It's Too Cold", and I must say that "Psychokiller" was fantastic.
