Methinks that most people who start threads of their own that aren't MF-related are usually considerate enough to toss OT in front, but there are 2 things to keep in mind: (1) Many of the OT things around are via multiple replies, in which a post reminds someone of something slightly different, and then someone else posts in the same manner, etc. etc. etc., and it doesn't take long for people to hit tangents. Thus, the thread that started out as a review of last nights show ends up with a couple replies down the line that are about who-knows-what. (2) What's off-topic? Any post that even talks about artists that have performed with MF are considered on-topic by some. For others, the only OT posts are those dealing with their personal lives with no FruContent whatsoever. And, for some, only show reviews fall into the on-topic category. For those of you that heard I lost my job in mid-August, you must know that I now have a job in the music section at my local Borders (Carousel mall, for you Syracuse-area residents). According to the computer (I checked on my first day), they have either 20-something or 40-something copies of Thornhill. This prolly won't work, because borders.com is separate from the stores. As in, there's no way for the store to check on that order. What I would do is call your local Borders, ask for a manager, tell him/her you have all that confirmation jazz, and ask if it's possible for you to get your merch there instead. > HMPF.
