It's been a LONG time since I've posted but I'm back and I've got a story to tell! Well, the lads will be back in Oregon shortly (countdown...no that's not a countdown on my whiteboard...why do you ask?) and I promised them that I would bring everyone I know to their next show if they came back. So since June I've been quite dedicated to creating new früheads. I've been quite successful if I do say so myself and I've got 20 tickets sold for the show on the 19th of October and more to come... My story involves my friend in Seattle. Her name is Julie. (everyone: "Hi Julie!")[1] I got her hooked with several songs but The Lowest Highest Point was a particular fave of hers. So when she wrote, told me she got a CD gift certificate from Borders.com, and asked what MF album to start with I suggested Live Noise. She ordered it and both of us felt smug and happy. Days went by. Weeks went by. MONTHS went by...NO CD! Both of us had at one point or another gone into a Borders store and seen the CD there but still nothing appeared in the mail box. She wrote an email after one month and another, much stronger worded one after two (because that is officially VERY LATE). They eventually responded and said something or other about not having it in stock and distributor problems , blah, blah, blah. No word yet as of how it will be resolved. I'm this close[2] to just buying her the damn album so we can forget it all (I have already copied it for her since I figured a CD would follow eventually...) So I share this with everyone in part for sympathy, in part to get the frustration off my chest, but mostly to say ****Do not use Borders.com to purchase CDS**** They may send you a gift certificate but be wary. They are NOT Früvous Friendly! Thanks for letting me vent. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Kristy Thompson Portland, OR kristy@fruhead.com ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* [1] - yes she'll be reading this [2] - trust me...it's very close ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Sep 1999 18:33:28 GMT From: vika@ibm.net (Vika Zafrin) Subject: Re: new obsession sign Spake shadoeme@aol.comrad (Genna): >You can't imagine how hard it is *not* to say this.
