Question: "How do you feel when you imagine Moxy Fruvous as a big time, stadium playing band that never comes out after shows for fear of being swamped by the masses?" Answer #1: Personally, answering to no one but myself: pretty shitty. I'd feel like I'd lost something sacred and quite special. Pretty selfish, huh? However....a different approach Answer #2: For them, for the musical entity that is Moxy Fruvous...for them I wish self actualization. It might not be the #1 spot on TRL, but even if it is, I just wish them the world. They've touched my life with such joy and given me the most moving music and for that I am eternally greatful....But I just don't see them ever cowering from anything, especially not rabid fans...b/c let's face it guys: some of us are pretty far over the moon for them right now. Talk about obsessed:) We spout %'s of how often they play which songs on fridays when the moon is half way through it's cycle and Dave is wearing pajamas, but not sunglasses in odd numbered years...We travel across oceans and country boarders and age barriers just to hear one song...We create wonderful webshrines in honor of Them and of Those Who Love Them...basically we already *are* those fans that *should* create that worry:) (but not in a bad way) In conclusion...whatever the outcome of this tour, 3 things are certain: 1: a lot more people will find out about what we already know: that the boys rock. a lot. 2: they will sure as hell deserve some happiness in any form after their 100+ shows in 1999. and 3: the outcome will be bittersweet for all touched by the band...but only time will tell:) love debs "..Some say the ducks went to Canada...others, to Toronto." -Bart "For hope and inspiration, live a life Fruvous." -Rosemary @}--}--}---- ------------------------------ End of alt.music.moxy-fruvous digest V3 #843 ********************************************
