Her second day in the country and I'll already be trying to convert her - I'm really pacing myself! *g* Kew Gardens is about halfway between Woodbine and Victoria Park (I *think*) along Queen Street East. It's on the south side of the street and the best place to meet up I guess would be at the Mix 99.9 van. They always broadcast live from the north-west corner of the park (so if you're coming from the west (i.e. downtown) by streetcar, it's one of the first things you'll see). Backup plan: the children's wading pool/playground area. As for time, when did the Mix say the whole thing would start? I'd like to miss Jeff Healy and am anticipating lots of young screeching females for Moist, but because I do like their music, we'll be at Kew by the time Moist starts. Hopefully, there'll be a bit of an exodus b/w Moist and Fruvous so we have a hope in hell of finding a spot to sit. Awaiting feedback and time suggestions. Happy September! Now, while Thornhill would be subject to relatively little of this editing, I can see it as being a problem in principle. If I had a record out, even if it was the cleanest, most wholesome, family entertainment, I wouldn't want Wal-Mart to carry it because of what I feel Wal-Mart otherwise stands for. [1] eventually, I'll get around to a new parody "Sticks up Their Ass"[2] [2] Originally it was going to be "Stick Up His Ass" about people on the newsgroup who take certain things a little too seriously, but I won't mention any names. :) - -- Lawrence Solomon * http://www.fruhead.com/users/zaph * zaph@fruhead.com "Just because you're floating doesn't mean * This space inadvertently you haven't drowned." -They Might Be Giants * left blank. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 01 Sep 1999 17:18:43 GMT From: "Winnie da Fru aka Sara" Subject: Re: OT: CD Holders >seriously, the skinny cases are great and indispensible if you listen to >CDs in your car and can live without the liner notes when you're not >home. i just don't trust the sleeve ones (to those of you who have >jokingly or otherwise said, "well, just put them in carefully," i I tried buying one last year (one of the large binder ones) that has a spot for the liner notes as well (since I do like to have them, especially for those damn CDs that don't put even a title on them - how do you know which CD it is when it is blank?).
