Plus, due to the fact that I sawr [1] it for the first time only a few years ago, there were two things that reminded me of Fruvous: a) "Brazil", the song, from which "I Love My Boss" is based, of course, and b) The scene where Robert deNiro and the rest of his avenging plumbers rescue the main character (sorry, forgot his name). Joe Louis was a famous boxer, "the Brown Bomber", who was world heavyweight champion for a long time, around the 1930s and 1940s. Joe Louis Arena in Detroit was named after him. As for other references, I recall "totally Lola" in there somewhere, which could be a reference to the Kinks' 1970 hit (some of you young'uns may be more likely to recall Weird Al's parody, Yoda). Hee...I don't think I ever heard anyone use the term "my lake" - it was always "the lake," no matter which lake it was. When I was a kid, it seemed as if my family was the only one without a lake cabin, so we had to visit friends at theirs - which did give rise to phrases like "the Joneses' lake," but that was used only when referring to someone else's cabin. Later, my dad started sailing at a resort every weekend, so we started calling that "the lake," even though we didn't own a cabin there. Of course my parents bought a lake cabin *after* we kids had all grown up and moved away. k@ You wanna feel like you're in the twilight zone - drive through Grand Forks on July 4 sometime. That perhaps I know entirely too much about a group of guys I've said maybe 20 words to all told. But these thoughts tend to be sporatic and fleeting. Because I know that most of my time here involves reading [3] thoughtful discussions on lyrical symbolism, muscial interpretation, concert experiences, as shows do so not because they simply intend on drooling over Band Member of Their Choice, or even *just* that they enjoy the music, but also well OTs such as the pros and cons of vegetarianism and the death penalty. [4] Likewise, I know that the people who plan vacations around because the shows are the focal point of fun gathering, or an excuse to see a new place.
