Slightly slower than live, but still great. Did the time on that train change or did I mishear the lyrics? Wasn't it 2:29 before? Sad: What can you say about a great song? :) Too Careful: This is rapidly becoming one of my favourite Dave songs, and a personal theme song. Most of the live energy showed up in the track, which is great :) (Ok, so I'm wearing out that adjective. I have to save some for other tracks! ;>) IWHO: I still miss the backup vocals :( *sigh* Earthquakes: *woohoo*!! Boy did they put a lot of instrumentation into this song - amazing. Another favourite Dave song :) Definitely going to be .sigging a few of these lyrics. WST: I know I'm in the (vocal) minority here, but I've loved this song since its debut in Windsor. Having Jian's voice doubled (or is it tripled?) in the studio version makes it interesting to say the least.. Splatter: The narrative/action sound to this song makes it sound like an old radio play in some ways. Did the last verse change or am I finally hearing the lyrics right? "We came from monkeys"? (or did I do a frudegreen?) ID: *LOVE* this song. Seems to be a lot less keyboard in the bridge in the studio version though. Downsizing: *WOW* After hearing this song for the first time it went right up with Fly as my favourite Jian song. How come this hasn't been played in Ontario??? No matter how many times I've heard this song today, I still almost want to cry at the line "I won't tell my wife, I will work it out things will be fine." Hate Letter: A great surprise, though the title doesn't exactly seem to fit *g* How long till we hear this one live? *hint* The background stuff during the bridge was a surprise as well.. is there anything else there besides the "Goin' to Murray's...", and the bits of Sad Girl, Half and Downsizing? If Only: I've said everything I've needed to say about this song since NoHo *g* - there's still a slight "miss-Mike-solo" twinge whenever I hear it live, but that's their decision. Just hope this never becomes just another song to Mike. MPG: 4 amazing Dave songs on one album! :) Only complaint: that a couple more songs couldn't have been put on. Hopefully we'll still hear Grudge, Sleepy Drinker, etc. at shows :) Drea (a *very* happy Thornhill owner) "And I'm pissed that I ain't gettin' younger, gettin' pretty, gettin' loved, gettin' laid" - Earthquakes "No, I suggest we tax *thingys*" "Oh, *thingys*! That would certainly make chartered accounting more interesting!" - Monty Python Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know.
