I have no idea, though, when I'm gonna get to OC...hopefully around 3 or 4, so I might see you guys on the beach, depending on what Katie wants to do. But does anyone have any ideas for a place to eat dinner? Cuz I was thinking we could maybe do that... Speaking of all of this, I had a dream about this show last night. And Ross was there (I'm not sure how all of this fits together) and all I remember is that these people offered to let us hang out at their house and they had a really cute dog. If indeed you WERE going for humorous content, then what follows applies to others more than it does to you. More than half? No. It only seems like it due to the vocality (is that a word?) of those who insist on slobbering over him, in public, online. I'll defend people's right to do that if they want to, as a free speech issue, but basically (as many others have said) the majority of us think that kind of thing is VERY uncool and it kind of violates an unwritten standard that most of us on this forum have subscribed to for years. Does it bother Jian? Who knows? Who cares? But it DOES bother some people here. I'd think that that would suffice to give some amount of pause. A.J. - -- Mariaweb last updated 5/13/99. He is very sweet to her even though she gets shy around him now and can barely say a word when she is near him. At home, whenever we listen to Fruvous, she always smiles when Jian starts singing and talks about him whenever we talk about Fruvous. She's had this thing for him for two years now, and she is young enough to be his daughter! Yep, she turns 4 this week. : ) While Jian is tops on her list as far as male music people she loves, I'm afraid he ranks behind a few women, notably Katrina Nields who she is totally in love with at the moment. My son, on the other hand, is really into Dave. Oh, and as long as I am writing. I have to mention that not everyone loved the tent song. It scared my daughter half to death. During the mainstage set, I was sitting enjoying the song when my wife tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to my daughter who was cowering in the back of our tent with her hands over her ears. I had to hold her while she tried to borrough her way into me for the rest of the song. I had to keep promising her for the rest of the day that it was just pretend and that the tents really were not going to come down the hill and eat the Nields (or anyone else, but particularly the Nields). Yesterday, when my wife said the word "tent" out of context, she totally froze up for a second and looked around nervously. The rest of us loved it though. and here FRFF is worried about Dan Bern having a troubling effect on the kids, what about Fruvous! (just kidding of course). Actually, my daughter rally likes Dan too, for what its worth. - - Harry Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Share what you know. CLeast18@aol.com wrote: > > Is he dating a girl younger or older than him? /me takes a deep breath Hi Michala. I don't want to assume anything about you, but I would like to provide some pointers and encouragement to follow more of the etiquette usually surrounded by posting to usenet. First, be sure to check out http://www.fruvous.com. It has Fruvous information galore. Stuff like lyrics (including an english translation or 2 of Morphee), articles, band bios, and show reviews. It's a great resource and usually has up to date tour info as well. Also housed on fruvous.com is the alt.music.moxy-fruvous FAQ, the frequently asked questions list for this newsgroup. It is available at http://www.fruvous.com/news/faq.html. It contains answers to many questions a new person may have. If you have any additions, please post them and we can get them added to the FAQ. These questions are usually questions we don't like to answer here because we've already each answered them enough times so far that we'd rather not again. As for posting etiquette in general, please do quote from a message you are replying to. For example, "Is he dating a girl younger or older than him?". I have no idea who "he" is. You could be talking about AJ for all I know (AJ is married by the way and Lisa is great and Maria-Louise is so cute!). Please don't quote the entire message you are replying to. Cut down on the post and only include quoted lines relevant to what you are saying. As for posting on this newsgroup (and probably any other fan based newsgroups), keep in mind that the private lives of the band are not appropriate topics of discussion here. We have no right to intrude into Mike Ford's life and talk about whether we like his wife or not. Please keep the discussion to the music of Moxy Fruvous and anything else that you can tangentially relate to it. Or talk about something else you are interested. But please don't cross any lines that we shouldn't be crossing. It's a much better place here when we talk about Fruvous or Myers-Briggs or how fast you can sing Johnny Saucep'n. When we get talking about who band members spend their personal time with and what deodorant they use and stuff like that if just gets downright scary in here. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jul 1999 18:27:37 GMT From: Jihead1@aol.com Subject: Re: The FAQ In a message dated 7/29/99 2:05:07 PM Eastern Daylight Time, chadm@fruhead.com writes: << I'm considering asking Cee if I can take over the FAQ from her.
