Well, if you insist, why not check out a minor league team in the area? (I assume that there might be some in the area.) Or else check out a hockey game. There has got to be one of those going on *some*where. > (not that Fruvous isn't worth it, but if they're going to > do a short set, I'd want to do something else in Toronto... :) Oh, hon[1], there is a *lot* to do in Toronto. - -- chad at radix dot net [1] - an effective use of the "hon." ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 01 Jul 1999 02:52:09 GMT From: CheesemonkeyGem Subject: this JIAN!!!! thing >To Deb and Lori, > _Thank you,Thank you ,Thank you!_ Did i say Thank >You? I will climb off my high horse now . Geez, i think you need to calm down a bit. Ya, it is kind of annoying that she keeps exclaiming about jian, but its not some unhealthy obsession...how is it going "past obsessive?" Past obsessive would be like stalking or such behaviour, but what harm is she really doing by getting all googy-eyed for him? a lot of people feel that way! the reason why the majority of us on the ng dont act that way is probably because many of us have met jian, in many cases MANY TIMES, and like you alluded to, by meeting someone you realize he/she is a real down-to-earth human being and not the object of obsession. But she hasnt met him yet, and i bet she wouldnt feel the same way if she did. Hell, before i first met jian i was kinda googy eyed myself. Just because many of us know jian on a personal basis doenst mean everyone has, and they cant see for themselves that he is a regular person like anyone else. Lisa is just a little star-struck, and altho it may be a little annoying, theres nothing overtly obsessive about it and i think many of us just take for granted that we know jian (and the rest of the band personally. - -jen === Before you get in a fight with a person, walk 500 hundred miles in his shoes. That way you're 500 hundred miles ahead of him and you've got his shoes. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
