League commissioner Colin campbell wouldn't even speak to Lindy. he turned hi back and walked away. "Cup For Sale. Wanted: Big market team so we can sell more merchandise." In an update, the NHL Board of Commissioners has removed the ability of the video replay judge to decide whether there was a player in the crease. The sole judge of whether a player was in the crease is left to the officials on ice, and the goal judge. The change occurred in 3 days, and was reportedly having "nothing to do with what happened in game six." I say this is complete and total horse manure. It had EVERYTHING to do with that. the NHL Board of Governors doesn't move that fast. It generally moves slower than molasses running uphill in a snowstorm. If you haven't forgotten, Buffalo had two goals disallowed during the playoffs, including one in game one of the finals. So, in the words of Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff, who ended his speech at the Sabres rally today. "NO GOAL." - -Paul Mischler CheesemonkeyGem wrote: > but on a more serious note, i would like to address > this lamentation thread. > now, im not just saying this cuz dallas is my fav > team, but i am not disappointed with the > "controversial goal" made by the Stars. first of all, > arent they going to be fixing that lame-ass crease > rule sometime soon anyway? and anyhoo, i remember > earlier in the playoffs, dallas got gypped a goal > because, i dunno, the end of a lace of a Star's > players' skate was on the line of the crease or > something... its all dumb. and i seriously think they > need to review that crease rule. i think after three > overtimes, the winning goal was legit, crease or no. > > -jen the Starmonkey ------------------------------ Date: 23 Jun 1999 03:44:57 GMT From: srm9988n@aol.composter (Lori Martin) Subject: Re: itinerary snarkychad continues: >> Ocean City counts too. >Then I get to count Virginia Beach. hmm. since when is VB 1.25 hrs from 'Naplis?
