Anyhoo... I really enjoyed the Croton show - my first. The band really blew everyone away, especially the large group of "newbies" that came for Dar and everything else. Other posts have covered the setlists, banter, etc., so I'll just say that I agree: Fruvous was really approachable and personable afterwards, (especially Jian), signing autographs and talking, etc. The strong finish (instead of "Gulf War Song" or "Drinking Song") was appropriate; we didn't want to give them up! Well, there are two versions of GE&H that they play live, the long version, and you guessed it, the short version. The long version is rarely performed, and includes props, costumes, and a detailed intro to the song. The song is also longer and performed slower. The short version lacks the above mentioned traits, but benefits from a rockin' bass line. It usually segues from KoS, and retains the high tempo of KoS. The short version shows up in setlists with some frequency. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a very hard time speaking the lyrics to a song where I know the tune...
