(correct me if that's wrong), and Scarborough may or may not be part of "megacity", formerly many smaller cities that are now one. I think also (and I may be wrong on this one, too) that while scarborough is in fact a town as opposed to a city, it's not small -- it's the larget town in Canada, with a population over over 150 000. Keep in mind this may all be completely wrong, it's all off the top of my head. (this is for >a friend- a newcomer to fruvous- who might not be able to go.... : ( ) The OC Music pier has an indoor hall, and a covered, outdoor section attached to the side. Last year, Tobey had the merch table set up in the outdoor section, and after their set, the lads came out to mingle with fans in that area. They way things usually go, Jian comes out to chat after pretty much every show, and the other guys are a bit more unpredictable. Of course, last year, the lads opened for Buckwheat Zydeco, and they came out to mingle during BZ's set. We'll see how it goes this time around. I'm not sure what you're referring to in regards to how long each one takes, but if you mean how long they stay out to sign autos and chat...it varies, and is, of course, up to the lads themselves. Hope this was helpful. - -- Trace trace@frumail.org AMM-F: You must be this insane to ride ----- - -Veronica J Gruneberg ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 18 Jun 1999 22:58:28 -0400 From: chad schrock Subject: Re: just a query... gingee@my-deja.com wrote: > > Jen - > > 8/2/98, Fruvous played at the Lower Merion, PA, "Concert Under > the Stars" series. Well, Chris... 1: i don't think Früvous will abandon Rochester either. (They'd better not!) I'm just saying that some really stupid crap took place at the last Rochester show... thus I'm kinda hoping for a change of venue. 2: How do fruheads get together? Well, usually, you can find fruheads on #MoxyFruvous on IRC. (Undernet is the network #MoxyFruvous is on.) Go to fruvous.com to get more information about the IRC channel. If you were ever to get over there some night, then you could talk Früvous with some of us Fruheads and find a ride... or, you could take a chance and e-mail a local frühead... (You know 1 who lives in your town ;-) and ask about getting together with other fruheads. 3: Fort Erie is one of the 2 venues for the "Friendship Festival". It's a big shindig designed to promote Canadian American friendship... yeah right... Früvous does that, and this Buffalo-Toronto series has probably trashed everything they've been working for ;-) Oh well. At least there's a lot of cool stuff going on.
