And it's great to hear that some of you know Jennifer Kimball. Her voice is amazing (you've prolly heard it -- she's sung background on almost every album in the free world). I've never actually sent pictures to Chris before, but I'd guess he is savvy enough to use whatever you send him. I think he uses jpg for the photos since it is smallest so I'd think it'd be safe to them to him. - Chad ------------------------------ Date: 29 May 1999 00:24:04 GMT From: bbwminors@aol.com (BBWMinors) Subject: Re: Another article! They're all virtuosos at their particular instruments, which carries over to the fact that they can jam for about 30 minutes at a stretch without getting boring (unlike a certain band with a certain portly harmonica-playin', motorcycle-ridin' member.) Actually, I won't disparage BT anymore, seeing as how they can play a WICKED muthafunkin' "Devil Went Down To Georgia," and rock "the Gambler." I saw them at Davidson College in February, and they rock, especially with their new sax player (although the soprano sax is a little too close to Kenny G.) They have an amazing stage presence, plus a great sense of humor. Just wish I could have gotten one of those Cosmic Hippos. To be a meanie: Send the pictures to Chris three months after the concert, and don't tell him which concert they were from. To be less mean: Send the pictures to chris via e-mail, tell him which show the pictures were from, and give them descriptive titles. To be really cool: Give them file names in the format: 990430m1.jpg YYMMDD, then the first initial of your last name, then the number in the sequence. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ..., a, b, c, d, e, f... Send the pictures in batches of 5. <- My thoughts) But, that's just what Father O'Malley told me. - -Paul Mischler McCown wrote: > okay, does anyone know if there is anything specific i have to do to > send pics to FDC? should i send them as jpegs, or...? i just don't > want to send anything that's likely to be problematic. thanks! > > love > Lizzie ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 29 May 1999 03:11:29 GMT From: trace@frumail.org (Trace) Subject: OT: The Phantom Smarties Ok, here's another chapter in the eternal a.m.m-f thread concerning Smarties. Episode XX: The Phantom Smarties A long time ago [1] , in a galaxy far, far away [2], the rebel Fruhead Trace stopped at a WaWa [4] down the road and saw something shocking. There, sitting on the counter by the register, was a display with somewhat familiar-looking boxes of candy coated chocolates made by Nestle! They were Smarties, although they weren't called Smarties! They were marketed in conjunction with evil Empire, Disney, which according to latest intelligence reports, has formed an alliance with the Nestle Corporation in order to subjugate free thinking Candadians and Americans alike, as "Tarzan Treats." Good little a.m.m-fer that she is, Trace was not fooled, but *had* to buy a box to be sure, and yep, they were the same candies she had purchased in Canada on several past occasions. The yellow ones were disguised with printed pictures of characters from the movie and they didn't have as many colors as the Canadian version, but they were the same otherwise. Also, using her Fruvous decoder ring, Trace uncovered the subversive message on the side of the box which read, "we don't care which ones you eat last [5]." So, for those of you who have always wanted to sample the delights of Canadian Smarties, the plot has now been exposed, and you should keep a look-out for Tarzan Treats, now playing at a convenience store near you. [1] ok, it was just this afternoon [2] well, New Jersey [3] is pretty far away from some of you anyway [3] And some people think New Jersey exists in its own galaxy, but that has yet to be proven [4] read "convenience store" if you're not from the Philly area [5] I made that part up - -- Trace trace@frumail.org *sniff* Target is within sniffing range.
