After nearly 4 months of lurking, I've decided to come out of my protective clear and teal shell (go iMacs!)... About the "Way to go Dave" movement: I had the wonderful, joyous fortune of getting to see Moxy 3 times last week - twice in Cambridge and then the Clifton Park show. At the Cambridge show on Tuesday, there was a "Way to go Murray," followed quickly by a "Way to go Dave". One of the Lads (Jian, I think) remarked that there hadn't been a "Way to go Dave" since mid-1996, and that it had been crushed by "Murray's people." So, at the Clifton Park show, I yelled my loudest "Way to go Dave!" to which Dave quickly replied "Hey, way to go you." =) My first on-stage recognition- I was very excited! So, a little introduction to me is probably in order: I'm a freshman at Dartmouth College, alma mater of our beloved Dr. Seuss, creator of Green Eggs and Ham. I fell in love with all that is Früvous, thanks to the work of two of my best friends- one who made me a tape of "Live Noise" and one who brought me to my first Fru-show at the Troc in Philly this past February. I was so thrilled by my first Moxy concert (despite the nasty guards) that I skipped all the way to our car after the show! Pointing my browser to Fruvous.com as soon as I got home, I was hooked. All I can say is that my life has been forever changed. =) I just want to thank you all for keeping my Fru-enthusiasm so high for all these long months in between shows- and I look forward to meeting some of you face to face at a concert soon. In the meantime, I look forward to actively participating here! :o) Amanda PS- If anyone taped either of the Cambridge House of Blues shows or the Clifton Park show, could you email me? I'd really love to have a copy- what wonderful memories... =) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 May 1999 02:47:03 GMT From: Lynne Subject: Re: gay? >Leah said: > We are all homophobic, and racist and classist.
