Crowded show! Sold out actually. The lads had fun playing with the people stuck outside of the entrance through a very small window beside the "stage"! But not only do we try to get to the "local" shows (Indiana, Champaign, St. Louis?, Chicago?), we drove up to Toronto (10.5 hours) to Fru-Con and my roommate (Andrew) and another friend (Chad Maloney...shows up here now and then) drove out to the "recent" Ft. Smith, AK shows. We like driving. My Dodge Omni recently died with 160k miles on it. Why does it sound like I'm trying to sell something? Jersey City (on the border of Hoboken) to the Trocadero show in Philly was exactly 2 hours door to door. Hoboken is a straight shot up the NJ Turnpike. Depending on where you live, the Betsy Ross Br. to NJ Tpk exit 14C will be your best route up. On the other hand, if you lived where I do you could just walk. ;-) Oh, and in case you hadn't checked Ticketmaster has the Maxwell's/Hoboken show available already. Might I propose a Fru-group meeting beforehand? We could grab some margaritas at another well known Hoboken establishment (East L.A.) then go to the show (or vice versa). Subject: it's all good (finally!) Sheesh! I think DejaNews has finally laid off the hardcore drugs, since I can finally read posts again! For the last four days it's been telling me that there were no new posts, and I *know* things are never that quiet around here! Anyhoo. I am quite jealous of all of you who got to go to the RIT show. I was (ahem) supposed to be there, but I miscalculated my obligations and was actually in Washington DC at a OAS simulation. Thrilling, yes. But it's no Fruvous. Sigh. One interesting thing - one of our borrowed delegates (we had to scam two from another school) looked like Jian. He was from Chile, which is admittedly a far cry, as far as nationality goes, but still. All the girls loved him, and he did, in fact, dance a mean salsa. So, in effect, it was a little like a Fruvous show. Without the music though, and the rest of the band, and of course, you all. Ah well. Education comes first. Or so I hear :) But enough about me.
