Remember when Annie Potts (who had the coolest wardrobe in the world) was telling Molly Ringwald that she *had* to go to the prom, even if she couldn't afford a new dress, 'cause there was this one girl she knew who never went to her prom, and it scarred her for life? I was the girl who never went to a prom, unless you count the one that a small-town school held on the riverboat where I worked, many years after I was out of high school. Those of you who've met me can attest that there's something *not quite right*...could this be the reason? Does any of you want to risk a similar fate? And Veronica's advice is sound...remember, Molly ended up with a kickass dress.
