I didn't notice that. It is "joke". Hammell is notorious for bad jokes and telling the audience "Hey, F**k you!". If you ever hear Mike or Dave (those are the people that I've heard do it) say "True Story" and then start pounding on the guitar strings, that would be a Hammell impersonation *grin* - Chad ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Mar 1999 16:53:24 -0500 From: "KatieWow" Subject: Re: EMR lyrics they've also screwed around with the lyrics to "message." ~~kate - -- kate leahy kleahy@loyola.edu everybody loves a happy ending but we don't even try we go straight past pretending to the part where everyone loves to cry - --elvis costello ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Mar 1999 16:55:01 -0500 From: "KatieWow" Subject: Re: The Story of BJ and Rachael . . . The name could be also the name of one of the songs, such as... Independance Day (a good name, if they're staying with Bottom Line) Half As Much (I don't know why it'd be good, but it sounds like a name an album would have) OR, there could be some other name that has nothing to do with any of the songs, such as... Flesherton (seems like the word of the day, doesn't it?... maybe they could get the keys to the city this time) Post-Noise (OK.... this sounds pretty dumb) OK!!! I CONFESS! I didn't spend much time on these, but I was wondering what other ideas people could come up with? Maybe the Frülads could have a contest for this, like they did for the album Wood? I dunno.... I don't post very often, and it obviously shows.... But post your ideas for a name! The song was popular in 1977 and written and performed by Andrew Gold. However, since they are talking about Harry Nilsson, wouldn't this song have to be a Nilsson song, or did he cover that Andrew Gold song? "One" by Three Dog Night was written by Nilsson.
