Not to mention, but the last time I checked, I'm a girl... which means one of two things. Either (a) stage managers can be girls very easily or (b) there were several horrid mistakes made at my high school. And since each of these plays went off without a major hitch (save one, when one of the female leads missed her cue because my runner couldn't find her - stage manager's nightmare!) I'd have to go with option (a). Which makes your teacher a big poopy-head. :) Veronica (Poopy-head? That's like watching paint dry most of the time (good thing my dad's not back from his bonspiel yet.. hee hee!) Although, I have to admit that I have, on occasion, watched an "exciting" game of curling. (ie finals of the Labatt Brier, etc) And you may be able to name all that Canadian provinces and territories now, but that might just become a little trickier in a few months (April?) when the NWT splits into two territories... :) Still waiting to hear guesses as to the definition of "pogey". It's not dirty, so we can skip all those potential suggestions. Oh, and the accent on out... I don't really think it's either "aboat" or "aboot". It's more like a cross between the two. But then, I can't really hear it myself... unless I really exaggerate the words. :) Veronica (perhaps we'll have to make up HC cards for the next FruCon...) - -- *************************************************************************** "Never look at the trombones, | Veronica Gruneberg it only encourages them." | Dept. of Biology - Richard Strauss | Queen's University | Kingston, Ontario ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 28 Feb 1999 04:24:38 GMT From: nicole.twn.is@ana.ng.at.tmbg.org (Nicole the Wonder Nerd) Subject: Re: WXPN is of God-like status/WCBE On Sun, 28 Feb 1999 03:19:29 GMT, someone who looked like "Zainab" whispered: >>In Columbus of course we have WCBE (yay WCBE) > >>Miriam Beetle Libicki >WCBE is a great public radio station! Sometimes it's disappointing when you've heard ALL of a band's songs - it's like reading the last book by your favorite author. Ther's not much left to anticipate. Well, with Fruvous, they mix up the setlists and add lots of new stuff, so you'd never have *nothing* to anticipate. Still, I think it's kind of fun to have something to look forward to. It consisted of the signed poster, which Kerry loved, a copy of "Green Eggs and Ham" - the book - and a little stuffed Oscar the Grouch! :) And we brough LN with us, and made her listen to it so she would get how the gift all fit together. Plus a copy of the show she wanted to come to with the rest of us, but since she was in mild labour at the time... So while holding Riley this afternoon, we had a little chat, and we came to an understanding. He can do pretty much whatever else he likes, but he *will* like Fruvous, or he's out of the family! :) (I am kidding, BTW.
