The Graffiti show was great! I haven't seen the guys in a long time, and they gave me a great dose. They played plenty of new stuff, and classic moxy, too. I wrote down a set list of sorts - I don't know the names of all the songs, and my pen really sucked, but in case anyone's interested, here's my best shot: Sahara - You Can't ? - a cha cha about Little Bird Fly Away Home - I love my BOSS! (complete with teapot move) - When She Talks (my first listen to a great tune) - unreadable - King O'Spain - Boo Time - impromptu rap with duranduran, etc - Splatter - my poor generation? - Fly (a stellar rendition, and at my personal request!) - Independence Day (another great new one to me) - Spiderman - Michigan Militia -Johnny Saucep'n - Darlington Darling - Love Potion schwingin medley with b-a-n-j-o (and banjo was his name-o) - Author- Encores: Psycho Killer - a snippet of Somewhere My Love - the Drinking Song It was glorious and happening. Please feel free to crash at my farm if there's ever a show you want to catch in my area. peace, cat ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 7 Feb 1999 15:26:56 -0600 From: "Cat" Subject: Re: troc show Brenda Longstreet wrote in message >im going!! my first show in PA even though its the state of my birth. >bringing two of my converts along with three potential converts!!! >see yall there > >brenda Hey Brenda - I wonder if you're related to my mom Susan Longstreet. I have to say that I had a wonderful time last night-- I guess because I didn't hang around afterwards, so was not subjected to the bullying of this obviously service-oriented staff. We had gotten there fairly late-- right at 8. Now the thing that annoyed me (besides the interminable wait after the opening act that had my fruvirgin friends about ready to leave...) Was that since I had only ordered my tix thursday, and had them at the Will-Call window, I had to go stand in a separate line, and wait until everyone who had their tickets physically on them., whether they got there after me or not, to go in. THEN we were let in. So basically I was towards the back, but getting there so late, I kinda expected it and wasn't too upset. Although Mr Big Headed Tall Man Who Dances As If He Were in an Epylectic Fit who was directly in front of me forced me to choose at any given moment which of the boys I would block out of my view. Do have ANY idea how hard that is to choose??? If people ordered their tickets early enough to be able to pick them up or have them delivered before the show, why should they have to stand around while everyone else goes through the pickup process? I know that everyone wants to stand up front, but that policy seems to be fairly standard (at least for the clubs I've been to). And for anyone who may have experienced Philadelphia for the first time last night, please don't let the Troc give us a bad name! I think Fruvous should come here again soon so we have a chance to redeem ourselves! (The TLA a few years ago was pretty cool, although it's probably too small now).
