HAHAHAHA! So much for just being a lurker, Mr. Knight... you have fallen prey to the mysterious forces of this diabolical, demented den of debauchery mayhem, silliness and Fruvolity. WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME!!! :^) > "Früvous has this weird mental virus - we have to follow them or we'll > die" - me, Windsor Jan 29/99 Fiona, I couldn't agree more! (see below) Contemplations had by moi (that's about the extent of my French) just the past few days: It's so weird, in November I started this crazy Journey into Frü-Land... starting with the concerts in Roch and Buffalo... joining the ng, arranging rides with people over same ng for a concert in Alfred (which I used to condemn people for doing, but never gave it a second thought when emailing Taryn!), then traveling to Clinton on a weeknight when I had to TEACH the next day! Daily visits to the website, constant posting on the ng, plans for FrüCon... my life has become so filled with Früvous within the course of 3 months!!! And yet the momentum came to a grinding halt after the Clinton Show, which was my peak experience thus far... two months without seeing and hearing the lads, imagining that I'd caught a glance from one of them during the show, getting a hug or something signed. It all seems so distant and almost unreal to me right now. FrüCon is only 2 weeks away and yet still seems unreal, I don't have tickets or a t-shirt in hand, the planning has begun and yet it isn't real yet... Excited and yet apprehensive about meeting all of these new people I only know from sigs and email addies. Hopes (but realistic doubts) about being able to do more than wave or say hi to the Lads because there will be so many people there with the same desire as me, to be acknowledged by the very source of our FrüBliss. My biggest concern... can I for once avoid making an a$$ of myself? In a hotel, in another city, in another COUNTRY??? Surrounded by hundreds of people who no doubt have certain pre-conceptions of me already from my posts (not at all meant in a bad way, it happens when you meet people on-line, then in person) I'm not ranting, I'm not raving... merely, pondering. At first when I thought all tix were gone, I had a panic attack. Then when I called the hotel and all the rooms were booked, I had another panic attack. Now that those two issues have been resolved... I am hell-bent and determined that this weekend will happen, That we are going to have a riotously obnoxiously hedonistically outrageously great time... and as [insert preferred Deity here] is my witness, I SHALL NEVER GO FRÜCON-LESS AGAIN!!!! *ahem* sorry, got a little carried away. - --Angie, having one of her fits, again... :^) btw: the only bit I seem to remember about my FrüDream from the other day is that one of the Lads (how sad is that, I can't even remember who it was) referred to Tobey as their "Früless Leader," the conversation had been about developing a new language, Moxydian, and once they started they couldn't stop and the Früless Leader was unintentional... it made so much sense in the dream... btw, again: I nailed Raja last week!!![1] (*ahem* let me rephrase... I succeeded in re-creating the rhythmic drumming performed during the song, No No Raja) it seems I can only play it well when I'm stressed or so agitated at someone that I drum to ground myself a [1] I had to leave it, too funny (to me anyway) to delete!
