Aside what has been said, I feel this is a more honest statement about what actually happened. Throw in substantive amounts of animosity and you have the picture of how #budgiedog was started. As to whatever #budgiedog is now, that's another story -- as time passes the animosity fades. >I feel, Chad, in your post, that you sound like you're scolding the founders of >#budgiedog. For a community like that, the fact that there are 2 irc >channels is a non-issue. :) My turn now to nit-pick. We are not one big happy family. We haven't been for a long time now. There has always been animosity between factions of fruheads (sounds evil when I say it this way...) and that won't change. We manage at best to tolerate each other for suspended periods of time. But I agree... 2 IRC channels are a non-issue. #moxyfruvous, a channel where discussion should (but rarely does) stick to Fruvous-related topics and where discussion is moderated to a certain degree for profanity and appropriateness. #budgiedog, where everything under the sun goes. Now if we could only accept that #moxyfruvous has always been a moderated channel and should continue to operate under certain guidelines so that everyone feels comfortable. Anyone in the area around Northwest Ohio wanting to carpool to the Con speak now. Last year we managed nine people in two cars for the trip, then met up with several others in what became known as simply "Party Room '99" I managed to coordinate concert tickets, travel and hotel for everyone involved, so if anyone is interested, please email me at frumanchu@hotmail.com and let me know. We will NOT be heading up until Friday, so the Thursday concert is out of the question. We would be leaving Friday morning from the Northwest Ohio area and returning late in the day on Sunday. I don't know what the policy will be at whatever hotel they get around to choosing, but we had roughly 12-14 people crash in our room that Saturday night. So $120 CDN split 12 ways and converted to USD...well, you get the idea:) Also, there will most likely be alcohol consumed in these rooms. If this will make you uncomfortable in any way, this is probably not the room for you. Anyway, anyone interested please email me! - -Phil Schwan Tours, Inc.
