First, just to prevent confusion, Lee's is 19+, not 21+, seeing as the legal drinking age in Ontario is 19 and not 21. However, they are not flexible on this policy so don't expect to get in if you bring your parents along... Second, while this did accidentally get published to the newsgroup, this statement was made in a private e-mail and apparently was a reaction to something specific that most of us have not been privy to. Oh, yes, thank you so much for directly attacking EVERYONE under the age of 21! Look, I know you probably don't want to hear this, but to put it mildly, this statement made me EXTREMELY ANGRY!!! Mildly put. Seriously, attacking an age group like that is no different from attacking an ethnic group. Manners and intelligence are pretty evenly distributed between "adults" and "minors." There are plenty of stupid and poorly mannered adults out there, (yes, früheads included, as Gordon and Lawrence can attest to my experience with) and it is JUST as unfair to group minors together into a stereotyped category as it is rediculous to pigeonhole Moxy Früvous as a categorized musical group. Okay, the angry 18 year old will now crawl back into her hole. - --------------- If I recall correctly, since the drinking age in Canada (or at least Ontario) is 19... Lee's palace is a 19+ venue. I realize this doesn't help the situation for you any, being 18, but I wanted to set the record straight. As I've also learned from experience, you cannot blame obnoxious behavior on age alone...because maturity is not defined by physical age. I think everyone makes the mistake at least once of making an off-handed comment and uses the age issue as a catch all because its easier than saying "those obnoxious people who talk too much or scream or throw things or step on me or elbow me in the back and throw stuff at each other and spill stuff all over me and make me want to scream and hurt them mightily" I'm sure no harm was done... if anything, we learn here at AMMF that one must learn to think before they type, and try to determine the worst way someone can take their words... and then retype them if necessary. re: Novac's pride at having more snowfall than Bflo: when i moved to Rochester for school... someone asked me "do you know why the weather in Rochester is so terrible?" Well, this morning as I was running out for track practice, I happened to stop by the lovely TV which was on, tuned to ABC 7 (broadcast from NYC). One of the reporters from the Philadelphia affiliate was asking some of the people gathered in the studio what their New Year's plans were, and I could have sworn that one woman said that she was going to see a Moxy Fruvous concert in Buffalo... but alas, she only got a fleeting chance to speak and in my rush to get to practice, I didn't really hear if that's what she said or not. If she didn't, this just confirms how really obsessed I am .
